Likes
- So talking about KIT , Varanasi...The very first thing i want to mention that It is the best private institute in whole Varanasi region , providing wide range of courses including BBA , BCA , MBA , MCA , B tech( all branch),B pharma, D pharma , etc.
- The infrastructure is top class as compared to other private colleges in Varanasi , the classes are very specious with proper sitting arrangement and good furnitures, all the classes are air conditioned , with large play ground and auditorium.
- The faculties are very friendly and and study environment is also nice over there. The students have to self study also to secure good marks. The placements particularly for management students is excellent there.All department faculties are good....
Dislikes
- The students are supposed to attend all the classes on regular basis and 75% attendance is mandatory over there , many students consider it as a disadvantage but In my opinion its not at all a disadvantage of the college, in fact... in every private
- Institutes (KGI) should focus on appointment of a little bit more efficient faculties over there.If they can do so , i can bet there is no college better than this in whole Varanasi,one more point is there,students have to pay fine is they lack Attnd
Course Curriculum Overview
As it is a private institute, the curriculum and syllabus is followed according to the University it is affiliated to . The Management and computer application courses are affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth University, Varanasi and Btech is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. So the syllabus is followed according to the Universities only. Talking about the teaching methods they use digital board and projector along with the white board. The faculties try to communicate in English while teaching. There were a lot pf PDP session going on in college for over all personality development of students..
Placement Experience
Placements are very good for management students and are not as expected for other courses. The pre placement training is also conducted by placement department (CRC). The average package is 4-5 lpa Highest was 18 Lpa In management almost every student get placed. For technical department also the placement are average.
Fees and Financial Aid
So basically the tution fees increase by 5K every year (not mandatory) Apart from this students can avail transport and hostel facilities also . The bus fee is 20-25 k per year and te hostel fees is 80-90k per year . Comming to scholarship criteria, the students can apply to UP scholarship scheme and take the benefit of it by submitting required documents.
Campus Life
The college conduct many events. Like freshers, fairwell , tech fest, management fiesta, pharmacy week. Apart from this there were many small events going of during the year , conducted by different departments. Sports facilities are also very good in college. There is alumni portal also.
Admission
So let me state about my course which is BBA. The admission process is very simple. You need to have min 50% in 12th standard and the admission is based upon this only. Bu during my time of admission the HOD took a PI ( only basic questions) and then said i am selected to take admission and then i paid admission fees and yes Admission is done . For almost every course the process is this only. You need to visit college..fill a form , pay the admission fees..and Done ...
Faculty
The faculties are average to good at Kashi Group of Institutions, Varanasi. I can say they are not very much efficient in teaching but yeah according to the fees we pay , the faculties are good and we are supposed to self study also. In our management department the faculties are very good , no class stays vacant, if any faculty is not available then another teacher is supposed to take that particular class . Yeah , I have heard that in B.tech department the faculties are not that good and also the students - faculty ratio is not appropriate there. The faculties are not very much supportive over there and the number of facilities are also less as compared to students. But talking about management department, its perfect there.The teachers of all department are very friendly and always stays up to help the students in every possible manner.If you didn't get any topic during the class , you can surely go and meet the faculty after class and ask them, they will surely help.
Interview Experience
No, during the admission there were not any kind of GD or written test conducted. Yeah the assigned team can take a PI round just to check how well are you suited for the college. They will just ask basic questions like about your schooling , future plans and family background that is it. Then you need to fill admission form and pay admission fees .and you are done with your addmission.
