Last but not the least if you want to join an institution which has best faculties,superb campus life,high class facilities from library to gym,design studios,Textile labs,great placements and internships and yes a great experience Pearl is for you.

Entrance Preview

I took Pearl conducts its own entrance examination (PAT) followed by a Personal Interwiew. This is to check the aptitude and the basic design knowledge of the Candidate.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Course includes all the basic and important subjects required to be a retail professional. There were modules like Merchandising,International Retailing,Finance, entrepreneurship,Visual Merchandising,Marketing,Fashion.

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship with United Colors of Benetton in Merchandising department. Stipend offered was 15000. Companies which came for the internship were UCB,LEVIS, MARKS and SPENCER, ADIDAS.

Placement Experience

Pearl has its own placement cell. They ensures that every student gets the opportunity to appear in every placement drive. During my session companies which came for the placements were snapdeal 30000 pm,UCB 20000 pm,Arvind Brands 25000 pm,Marks & Spencer 20000 pm,Ethos: 35000 pm,Tommy Hilfiger: 25000 pm,Limeroad,Levis,Adidas,Reliance Trends,Wills Lifestyle,Fab India and many more.

College Events

Pearl is known for its glamorous life. Every day is an event. From films promotions to social events,fashion shows to international competition Pearl has everything. Pearl usually has following events happening Pearl annual fashion show "The Portfolio",Pearl cultural festival "Pearl Utsav",Film promotions,Launch of Luxury brands5: International Competition which offer fully sponsored trips to abroad,Blood Donation Camps.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is little high but I bet it worth of it. U will realise once u get into it. The fee structure for a semester is around 120000 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Pearl offers two types of scholarships to its students on the basis of financial status of the parents,On the basis of merit educationbackground of student the amount of scholarship varies from 25% to 50% on the Tution fees paid.

Campus Life

As I already mentioned campus life at Pearl is just awesome. From well planned activity area to gymnasiums everything is there. Campus is also WiFi enabled. Gender Ratio in pearl is undoubtedly dominated by Girls but yes Boys are also there. The ratio lies between 3:10.

Hostel Facilities

Pearl currently provides hostel facilities on to girls. My friends were staying in the Hostel. As far as i know what they told me Pearl's hostel is just like a five star accommodation and the food is just yum.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

They have their own portal which is amuni-connect which enabled to share information with alumni regarding job opportunities,other information. Student can chat with any alumni at any time. Alumnus also tells about their vacancies.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is quite simplified and student friendly. Pearl assessment works on the submissions which happens every week. Student has to submit projects and presentations in front of Juries.

All the faculities in Pearl are either alumna/alumunus from reputed institutions of India like NID,NIFT,PEARL. Faculties at Pearl are always on their toes to guide students and to help them.

The Real Unbiased Truth of JIMS Kalkaji

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are average when compared with other B-schools of similar level. The companies which have visited so far for internships are mostly start ups like Wealth Blue and Outlook, but some other companies like ITC, Bajaj Capital and Coca Cola moon beverages have also come on campus. The highest stipend promised so far is 15,000 for 3 months or 10,000 per month for 2 months. A lot of students are yet to be placed, both for final and summer placements. My plan is also to get a job post my PGDM.

Compass provide a place the highest package our were born is 20 lakhs per annum from the Fite department and the average placement gets around 8 to 10 laks and the minimal is7-8 lakhs. The placement is good in sales and finance department. Most of the companies comes for sales and Management. You can also offer for the finance.

Good opportunity in JIMS

Placement Experience:

From 4th trimester onwards that if from August onwards after coming back from 3 months summer internships, companies come for placements and students can apply to the companies. The companies that visited campus are DELOITTE, KPMG, ACCENTURE,TCS, RANDSTAD,ICICI,SBI, MOTILAL OSWAL, BAJAJ, ASIAN PAINTS, ADITYA BIRLA, BLACKROCK, GRIDLINES etc. and many more. The highest package of our batch went for 24 lakhs( Oman based company) , average went around- 7-8 lakhs , lowest - 4.5-5 lakhs. Profiles offered- Sales head, operational manager, Deputy branch manager, Junior Analyst, Analyst, HR - talent acquisition team , underwriting team etc. Right now more than 80% of students have gotten placed and rest are in the placement process which will be till April. I have been placed in ICICI LOMBARD for Underwriting and Claims process and will be joining the company soon.

Pearl academy, is it as bad as you think?

I applied to symbiosis institute of design pune and got in. I didnt choose it because sid is not that known for design. And after talking to students there i realised that the placements are not that good in SID. Whereas in pearl placements are very good. Also because i compared the courses in sid and oearl and oearl has a better fc course and faculty. I also appliead to nift and made it to the second round. But couldnt get in due to 50% seats being of reservation and also my situation teat going not so good. I applied to NID as well and scired a rank in 500's but NID has very high competition and only chooses oeople from ranks below 300 To get into pearl one must give an entrance exam and then a PI. The Institute is very satisfying with clean campus

To pursue FD as your UG you have few of best top colleges in INDIA specifically. So I applied in few of those top colleges which included Delhi and Mumbai only. Though being a general category student you get no edge from other students who have quoted at the time of admission. I applied for NIFT, Pearl Academy from Delhi and Whistling Wood of Mumbai. I got into Pearl even before my 12th results were out. As the admission process is totally on the basis of you pressence, your intellectual skills and your attitude towards that field. You first to fill the form for the entrance exam and appear for that. After if you clear your entrance exam you either have a GD or PI. But its mostly a PI.
