Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

MBBS is a very much vast course which comprises 4.5 years classes plus 1 year internship. It requires a lot of effort and hardwork . That's why I took it as a challenge personally and persuade the course. The teachers can make less use of the PowerPoint presentation and can teach using the conventional chalk and board as it feels less interesting . There are 2 terminal examination each years and then there is Pre University Exam and then the final University Exam. There is a gap of approx 3 months between the terminals exam and at the end of the year there Is the University examination.

Internships Opportunities

3

After the 4.5 years course there is 1 year mandatory internship in the hospital. The hospital is present in the campus of the college. The stippened is around 10,000 per month. There is rotation of department during the internship. One month you will be posted in medicine, then one month surgery then one month orthopedics and so on

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees is 13,00,251 rupees. The hostel fees is 1,50,000 rupees. There are other miscellaneous charges of 85000 rupees. There is not fee hikes as it is fixed by the goverment for all of the session. The overall charges comes to be 15,00,251 per year which comes total of 67 lakh in the whole course completion . The students can take loan from the bank for their education purpose.

Campus Life

2.5

There is 2 fests in whole year, one of them is sports fest and the other is the cultural fest. There are all the important textbooks in the library which comprises the foreign as well as the Indian authors. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors . There are football ground, cricket ground, basketball ground, volleyball ground, table tennis ,badminton ground in the college.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facility is good . We got double occupancy in each room without attached washroom. The washroom is common. We got table ,fan bed ,cupboard , almirah in each room. The quality of the message food is satisfactory , neither very good nor very poor quality. The hostel fees is 1.5 lakh rupees per year which preferably seems high compared to the facilities given in the hostel.it can be improved.

Admission

The eligibility of the course is Class 12 passed and scoring the cutoff marks in the Neet examination. The admission is done through the NEET exam , whose application form can be found on www.neet.nic.in. The application fee is 1600 rupees. The frequency of exam is 1 time per year. NEET is considered to be one of the most difficult exam of the country as the no of applicants are very much compared to the availability of total no of seats.

Faculty

3

The faculty are well qualified. All of them are minimum MBBS,MD or MS as per subject . Students to faculty ratio is not upto the mark as there are 250 students in a class and there are almost 5-10 faculty in each department. If u go to faculty they will guide you and will clear your doubts regarding the subject. We have some interactive sessions every week where we can interact with the faculty in order to ask any doubts.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is overrated no doubt but at the end it all worth it when you treat the patient. Currently NMC guidelines are clinically directed but the way college fulfills it are not up to the guidelines. After doing MBBS in this college you are not that much confident to prescribe any medication independently. Education here is more theoretical than practical. College can improve it by giving more practical knowledge on real patients. Due to lots of junior residents, MBBS students get less chance to perform any clinical activities.

I don't think I really need to say something about the relevance of mbbs as course. You become a doctor after completing your cumbersome 5 year that itself is very relevant. You come so many different types and flavours of people during this time. You just need to enjoy the process

Course Curriculum Overview:

My curriculum is a study of real life where you're handling a whole life in your hands . You have to deal with them beside your ego and emotion. It prepares us for the real world . However, I think ENT and Optha should move back to 3rd year to reduce the load of 4th year. The frequency of examination are once in 2.5 months but you get only a month or 20 days gap between your PU and proffs. Proffs are do or die ,which I find most difficult.
