As a BCA student, I can say that the course curriculum is very good as it's start from basics of computers and programming languages. It also includes practical paper which helps to gain the knowledge more efficiently. But they can improve their DSA paper more towards practical then theoretical. The exams timings are average, some times at accurate time and some times a little bit late or early

Fees and Financial Aid

In Sambalpur University at my time the tution fees for BCA is 35000 per annum and exam fees is nearly 2000 per semester. But in terms of placement it's lack. There are very low placement and intership opportunities for students.

Campus Life

In every year they held a annual function and also with fresher and farewell party. The campus life is good there. They provide a library with a wide range of books from different departments. The class room were good but non ac. The lab are good , it seems max of the system running properly. Un terms of extra curricular activities they done the annual sports matches among students group of different departments.

Admission

For BCA course you must have math as a compulsory subject in +2. And the admission process is done through the jee and ojee exam. The exam was not too much hard. You just have to get a good rank. You can find the application link at the website of Sambalpur University.

Faculty

In sambalpur University the faculty to students ratio is 10:1 means there are 1 faculty for every 10 students, which is a good thing. Also the interaction of students and faculties is regular. The faculties use their practical knowledge to teach the students.

The best and detailed review

Placement Experience:

As Rourkela is a tier 3 city the placement opportunities are no as much as the tier 1 cities but the college still provides placements oppertunities with a decent amount of starting package of 4LPA.The college brings alot of companies for job and intership through it's long and good establishment in the city. The students becomes eligible for campus placement from 5th semester onwards as they have enough projects. Infosys, Capgemini,Dalmia,etc companies visited and highest package was 4.5 Lpa and average was 4lpa with 2 lpa as the lowest. Getting a MCA degree afterwards is most preferable for getting a better job.

Placement Experience:

From final year students are eligible for campus placement. 4 companies visited for campus placement. 60-70% students get placement. 5lakhs per annum is highest and 4lakhs per annum is average package. Companies like Deloitte accenture has come in our campus. I would do a job as well as pursue MCA.

My positive experience with the college community and environment

Placement Experience:

Placement from our collage is good. Maximum student get placed by a good package. From 5th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies like vipro,etc. visited and offered high salary to students. Highest package of our collage is 28 LPA and average package is 6.5 lakh. About 90% student gets placed after completing their courses. After getting the degree I will go for MCA

Placement Experience:

1.from 5th semester all students get eligible for placement and to take online assessment and fir interviews 2.tata consultancy services,wipro,cognizant,accenture,tech mahindra,infosys etc company visit to our campus every year they over 100 offers for support engineer and system engineer 3.highest package went last time as 15lpa and average package went for 10lpa 4.
