A memorable academic experience

The Course Curriculum is set by the University of Mumbai in accordance with the latest industry trends and it is a perfect amalgamation of all the specializations that are offered by the University i.e Finance, Marketing, IT, Specialization and HR.

Placement assistance is offered by the college. Grooming is a part of placement that is done to enhance the employbility of the students. The students are also taught how to prepare an effective CV that will help them get the best interviews possible in organizations of their choice.

The fees was 1 lac per month when I was studying in the year 2011 - 13. It was inclusive of domestic IV and tution fees. Government Scholarships were provided to category students. Summer Internship opportunities were provided by the college as well as final placement.

The college conducted one day competitions where you had to sell products and earn money so that you understand the experiential aspect of starting a business. We also had individual trips to various small scale companies by teachers of most subjects to understand industry and their working better. As a group, we had a lot of fun at the nearby tapri which was the favorite hub of each one of us.

The admission process was through CAP round as per DTE instructions. I had to give GD, PI to get admission to the institute. The eligibility norms as per Mumbai University is Graduation with 60% marks and any entrance test like MH-CET, MAT, ATMA.

The faculties had a flair of teaching with all latest case studies and through role plays and games. Therefore, the teaching was practical, experiential and concepts are embedded ingrained. Prof. Rupali More as the academic co-ordinator was approachable, Prof. Kiran Paranjpe sir was the eldest and wisest with the most experience, he was very polite and always had a smile when explaining things. Prof. Dinesh Sonkul was exceptionally brilliant as the Marketing Professor, his pedagogy and teaching style was so cool that the concepts he taught me then are still fresh in my mind. Prof. Kiran Yadav taught us to question every single thing in the Entrepreneurship class, he would break down concepts and make us think that enable me to develop critical and analytical thinking.

Yes, I faced all three as part of the selection process but it was a part of the DTE CAP admission process which was compulsory for every student after the CET results are declared. Therefore, the process was a mandatory pre-requisite.
