Likes
- The first thing which i highly like is the interactive nature of faculty members with students whether it's for academic or something else, they help out alot.
- Fully functioning computer laps. The institute has multiple computers laps for different kind of activities and they are all working perfectly.
- The location of institute is also a prime factor for liking the college as it resides in the center of bharuch city which is footwalk near from both the railway station and bus stand.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure. If you're looking for a college with good infrastructure then it's a big No for you.
- Celebration of functions. It's not like they don't celebrate the festivals at all but there are perticular days which many institutes now celebrate but here there's no concept of that.
- No canteen in the campus. It's one of the major thing every institute must have but here it's not available. There are multiple food stores outside the campus but still that doesn't mean a campus cannot have a decent canteen.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well the course i chose is computer science and engineering, and it was predetermined long ago, but the curriculum of the university is somewhat disappointing. As it follows the schedules of Gujarat technological University which is highly known for their unexpected schedule for exams and everything, it gets difficult sometimes for students as well as faculty members to manage their things.
Internships Opportunities
The college itself does not offer an internship from a company. You have to look out on your own for both the 15days and 3 months internship. But there are few who can help you with getting the internship within bharuch or nearby cities like surat or vadodara.
Placement Experience
No placements if you're in IT or computer science department. But if you're in mechanical or chemical then there are multiple placement opportunities offered by the college and the college is situated in the city which has many numbers of chemical factories so many companies do come for campus placements. But if you're in computer science department such as me then the campus placement is a dream for you. The only way for you to get employeed after graduation is either LinkedIn or outside research.
Fees and Financial Aid
From what i have heard from the newly enrolled students, the college has increased the fees by 1000rs for them and it increases year by year. There are multiple scholarships and financial aids available for students of st/sc and those who are financially weak. Even i have been getting the scholarship of half of my annual tuition fees which is 80000rs per annum.
Campus Life
The campus does celebrate all the festival but don't include the days like most of the college celebrates nowadays. There is a high range of books available at the library which you can borrow using your library card offered by the college itself free of cost. The way of teaching within the classroom is by using a projector. There's also an annual sports week celebrated every year.
Hostel Facilities
As I live in the same city, i haven't got into hostel but i have heard from others. If you're a boy then you have to find a room or pg as the college does not have a hostel for boys but for girls, there is a hostel available just beside the college campus and the registration is done within the college itself.
Admission
The addmission process is through online website such as acpc. I got admission after my diploma and I'm a d2d student. Though for the students who wish to take admission offline, it's available but only if the seat are available in the course. The reservation criteria is determined at the website entry.
Faculty
As i said earlier, the faculties of the college is top notch. As the class students number is high , they're sometimes difficult to manage but they still manage them efficiently. All the faculties of all departments are highly qualified with masters and PhDs. Also most of the faculties are highly approachable but only if there're free obviously.
Interview Experience
There is no entrance exam or interview to get an admission in this college. Though recently for new student for D2D, there is an entrance exam introduced by the university. But regular once, there are no interview or entrance exam besides jee.
