Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is well enough to create a good base for knowledge. This gets later enhanced by Placement training which prepares us for the real world rather than just theory knowledge. Exam levels are quite good, a sem lasts for 4 months with mid sem and end sem, with a month of gap towards the end of the term

Internships Opportunities

4

Tata elxsi, Accenture, Deloitte, autodesk, AP moller along with many other companies provide internships to students for various tech and non tech roles with an average stipend of around 15k lower limit to 50k upper limit. These internship also can be converted to full time based on individual's performance

Placement Experience

4.5

Companies start their campus visits close to 6th sem( mid of 3rd year ). Good companies like Deloitte, Microsoft, Amazon, Accenture, pwc, etc visit our campus. Almost 110+ companies visited pur campus for my batch. Highest package opportunity was around 40L CTC and average comes down to 5L to 6L. More 70 % people were placed

Fees and Financial Aid

I took admission in 2020, so my fees at that time was 235000 Rupees per year. As per I've heard students now taking admission in 2024 are paying 295000 rupees per year, so each year for new admission the price increases a bit. Scholarship is no more available in our college. We were the last batch to get scholarship based on 10th 12th percentage. My complete cost came around Rs. 10L to 10.5L.

Campus Life

4

Technical events do happen here, where students get chance to showcase their skills and interact with industry people. Due to lack of ground, annual fest does not happen in the engineering campus which is a bit far from other campuses. In engeneering campus no major playgrounds are available, just badminton court, cricket net and one basketball court. Various clubs are present in SOA but due to lack of support financially to the clubs, clubs do not run in their full potential, still it is engaging if you choose the right club.

Admission

Admission portal is available on SOA's official site, soa.ac.in. You can take admission by giving the SAT exam of SOA or you can enter through you JEE and 10th 12th percentage ( this was the way I took admission) if you have 60%+ career then admission is possible without any external stuffs you have to take care of( if you did not score good in SAT too).

Faculty

4

Not all faculties are bad, mostly you'll find good faculty who are ready to help if you put in ample amount of efforts from your side The ratio of students to faculty is around 100:1 Mostly teachers are really friendly and easy to approach.

The highest and average are yet not known. Several companies visited the campus with prominent ones being Microsoft, Dell, Xerox, Flipkart and more including several startups. After getting a degree if I am able to land a job the ok otherwise I will start my preparation for the defence sector or civil services.
