Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is very poor. Not upto MSc level. It is all the same as in Undergraduate course. Does not promote innovative research activities. Mostly repetitive and not advanced. All the notes are given and students are spoon fed so clearing exams is easy.
Placement Experience
Many companies are there for placement but very less core companies. Mostly sales role is provided with very less salary. Cannot attend another company is you are placed which is not very good. High package companies come only at the last. No good placement opportunities. Avg 3LPA only
Fees and Financial Aid
18 thousand per semester plus 2000 for exam fee. Scholarship are provided for SC students. Alumni scholarship is given for economically lower students. No scholarship for academically provisional students. Only certificate and medal given. Caution deposit is around 700 each year
Campus Life
No clubs for post graduate students. Library facility is good with many number of books. Culturals are many. Very good student atmosphere. Many stalls are placed for promoting entrepreneurship skills in students. Infrastructure is good. But lab facilities are very poor. No chemicals are restocked for research purposes.
Admission
Eligibility is Bsc in Botany or Plant biotechnology. No entrance examination. No reservations were given. Admission is very easy if percentage is above 70%. Application is only online mode only after Bharatiyar University is published for UG.
Faculty
Research experience of faculty members is very poor. Does not encourage the students to take up their own ideas and guide them. They are not very much qualified. Except a few staff who are very friendly and knowledgeable.
