- The campus here in SJIT is really clean and neat and they maintain it that way everyday
- They provide breakfast and lunch for everyone studying and working here and the food is great too
- Opportunities for learning and growing is high
Dislikes
- I personally don't like the dress code here.Wearing tie and shoes everyday just seems too much.
- Only 4 days official leaves are provided for the student per semester and I think it's very very low
- Hostel students couldn't go out even in holidays and it is quite annoying.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because it offers me to get a job in both IT field and in core field.The curriculum here is good and prepares for higher degrees but I feel that the experiments performed in labs should be taught more effectively.There are basically 3 model exams which are accounted for the internals.i feel,The time gap between 2 nd and third model exam is very less and quite stressful.
Placement Experience
Placements of SJIT is better when compared to other colleges.Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 6 th semester itself.Companies like cognizant,TCS,Zoho visit our college.The average package of placement is 4 lakhs and the highest is 25 lakh.Almost 60 percentage of the student gets placed every year. After getting my degree,I plan to go for higher studies
Fees and Financial Aid
When I joined this college the fee was about 3 lakhs including hostel but now they've increased it further more.The hostel facilities are not worth 1 lakh(excluding food ).There are few scholarships too if the cutoff of the student is higher than 170.
Campus Life
There is only one annual event held in SJIT known as college day.It is usually held in the even semesters.There is no opportunity for sports here in SJIT.We get only one day as sports day and it is not enough to show our talents.There are few clubs run by the faculty here.No student run social clubs and groups.
Hostel Facilities
Each room can accomodate 4 person.It has 4 cots with 4 beds with 2 fans.It has a attached bathroom and a toilet.The food here is good.We get to eat non-veg ( fish,chicken) for 6 days a week.But the fee for hostel is quite high.
Admission
Admission process here was quite a good experience.They warmly welcomed us and met our needs.They treated us with a smile on their face.The thing I didnt like about the admission process is that we've waited for almost 3 hours to pay the fee and It was quite tiring
Faculty
The faculty here are quite good and they know what they teach.They always try to clear the doubts of the students in the class and they are friendly.They teach us in the way we want.They are approachable.
