Life in UPES

As a student in this university, I find the course plan both relevant and comprehensive. The curriculum offers wide range of subjects which cover fundamental theory. Courses often includes a lot of labs and projects which help in practical knowledge.

The placements are not bad but not too good. The average package fluctuates every year between 6 and 7 Lakh per annum. The highest package is 50L that a student got from Microsoft. Students mostly go for higher education.

The fee varies for localites and people who are not a resident of Uttarakhand. On an average it's around 25Lakh. It depends on the course you have enrolled in. The internships they provide in third year are mostly unpaid.

The campus life is great. The campus is really clean and well managed. The Campus is little bit small but that's because it is situated in a mountain area. The sports committee is great too. The student clubs are very active and interesting.

The hostel is triple sharing. There is common washroom and bathrooms. The mess food is very average, not good at all. Campus hostel is very costly and not worth it at all. The in-time is very early 8:00pm.

They check your CBSE boards result or your JEE MAINS result. You can find the application form on the college site. There are reservations for SC/st/obc/ews. The entrance exam is of easy difficulty. In my opinion they should make the entrance exam more difficult.

The faculty to student ratio is notably low, averaging around 1:12. The faculty members are highly qualified with the most advanced degree in their respective fields. They employ a variety of innovative teaching methods too.
