Course Curriculum Overview

3

I'm pursuing b.tech in electronics and communication branch and was motivated to opt for this branch because oy interest in the same and the upcoming market and opportunities for ec engineers. But so far I've realised that the curriculum that this university offers is lacking to prepare students for real time job opportunities. Curriculum needs to be updated according to the needs of the market. Teaching methods of many faculties is fine butamy students don't even know what exactly they are learning and what is the role of particular topic in real time. Two internal exams are taken by college to prepare students for final sem exams. And the difficulty level of exams is moderate to hard in this branch as it's a core branch.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements offered by this college is average. You can expect 2-3lpa package or more on the basis of your performance in the placement drive. A lot of companies do offer students job here. From sem 6 onwards you become eligible for the placement drives. Approx percentage of students placed is 30-40% in this college. My plans are to go for higher studies after this degree in kn this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is different for different branches, also there are many scholarships available for minorities and based on castes. Also relaxation in fees for economically weaker section. For OBC candidates, more than 20K is the amount of scholarship and for SC/ST candidates, amount may go upto more than 40K. Tuition fee probably sees a hike every year watching the pattern and popularity of the course yet this college has the most affordable fee structure for any engineering aspirant. Training and placement department helps students for placements and more. But the students have to put more efforts to get the job.

Campus Life

3

Hardly one or two tech fests are held in this College that too is within the college only. The fests are hardly of intercollege level. There is student activities council (SAC) in the college that organises different events and manages any fests taking place in the college. There are different clubs under this SAC that organise different intracollege events for the the college students. Sports and extracurricular activities needs more attention by the authorities in this college as the faculties don't support students academically alot in such activities. There are no smartboards in the college, there are some projectors in first year's classrooms that too probably to attract admissions. Otherwise my department's classrooms neither have projectors nor smartboards. Teaching is still done on blackboard in this engineering college. In sports, you may appear for nodal level tournaments but donot expect any support for attendance from the department.

Admission

Eligibility of the course will be decided on the grounds of your percentile if you are taking admission through mpdte counseling and of you're going to the college for direct admissions then the amount you pay can easily decide which branch you can opt for. You can anytime come to the college for campus tour. There are reservation benefits as well that you'll get in the form of scholarships.

Faculty

4

Some facultues are great and understand the importance of faculty-to-student interaction while others don't even bother to know the names of the students they are teaching. Some faculties have a very good approach to teaching the class along with the weak students while many faculties just interact with the toppers and teach and leave the class. Many senior teachers are approachable and interact with students very well and understand the students but majority of the teachers lack this quality in this college. Many of the faculties only care about their image in front the senior mosts of the institution

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as quite relevant and well-structured. Most subjects are updated according to current industry needs. The faculty also puts effort into explaining topics with practical examples instead of just theory which I genuinely appreciate for there hard work The curriculum covers both core concepts and modern technologies which actually helps in preparing for internships and further needs and i choose Artificial intelligence because it is latest and the future is in ai and everyone somewhere related to artificial intelligence and so i decided this course for my furture safe and good future
