What Students Say

Likes

Having good building construction. They have sports facilities and cultural activities for once a year. Good basket ball court, cricket court, play ground. Cold water supply also having for one in a floor.
Good useful labs, practical labs. Some block they have airconditioner in their classes .
Super cleanliness library in my college. Auditoriums are there for one in blocks and huge shivalaya auditorium and one stage too

Dislikes

Dirty toilets and classrooms. No places is cleaned in the college.
Canteen and mess they don't have hygienic food and healthy food.
College they don't give more preference for studies, placements, and exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum was never apt for the course. In this college, what my course is,but there isn't some subjects are not in my curriculum for my course. The college never give preference for curriculum and studies things. They only do cinematic field to earn more their owns. Not in tha college concern.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for tha course is too much to pay. They don't give scholarship for the students. Some times,The college don't give official mail or messages to the college when to pay the fees and last date fees payment. Only they charge for penalty. There is a campus interview for placement but they prefer only below 9 cgp not for above 7.5 percentage.

I worried about why I joined in this college. There is no studies preference for students. They prefer extra curricular activities for sometimes. But they give cultural activities for yr. There is club environment in the college.

Admission

There is an admission fees for every students. They prefer cut off also but not so times. I didn't took any entrence exams but I pay admission fees. If there is no cut off, they ask fees more and admission fees too.

Faculty

Faculty are well qualified for teaching and explaining. but the college don't give preference for studies more. Teaching subjects are also not so connect for the course. Some Faculty they interact with students.but most of the faculty they just open their study file presentation and ready. And faculty they never teach for the students clear understanding.

Placement Experience:

Placements starts from the 7th semester.companies Like tcs,wipro,zoho,infosys vist. The highest packages is 24lap,average 3lpa and around 85%of student get placed. I plan to start my career in IT and gain experience.

Placement Experience:

There are companies but the companies that were told that the good ones, they didn't come so much.. only a few companies that gave a package above 5 lakhs came in for my department.. the rest of them were either 4 lakh package or below it was not very good. even the 1 or 2 good companies that came tehy came for electrical.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Placement Experience:

So from 6-7th semester they offers placements before that we have placement training in campus.So highest package for 2024 was 45 to 50 lpa,good offer given by amazon and other company also.So the average package is 7.5 lpa and highest package was 50 lpa.so 925 application are accepted in last 2 monts .My plans to get job and then after 2 years may be for higher study or startups.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of each course is different and it is followed by the guidance of Anna university, we have several topics and it is under the regulation of 2021 respectively, I feel this easier to learn and there comes an opportunity to do what we learn in theory hour in our laboratory hour it will make more connected to our course, but there is lagging factor that is we are far away from the modern world and we need to put effort to compete with. The exams are not difficult and the frequency of the exam is quite manageable.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 3rd year for placements and also who don't have standing arrears ,if they have standing arrears the clg management will remove them from placements and also the Placements are very poor . The average package is 350000/year . And the maximum package is 15L Last year nearly 100 students out of 180 in cse dept are non-placed , they are forced to write higher studies letter and submit in college . Even though they won't help for any placement side.

Vels University is not that bad

It's very easy to get admission in this college as the admission procedure is very simple. You can directly go to the head office, and you can contact the people sitting in the reception. They'll guide you and throughout the admission. Also, it's near to the airport, which should make a travel entry for the students who are coming from the other states. Also it is situated in a very good place. The college is situated in Pallavaram, which has various like basically everything is present there beat food beat hostels. it's a good place. The location of the college is very good making it very accessible other than the location. The faculties are very nice.
