College facilities and campus is amazing. The programs conducted are amazing.
Very free and less restrictions on dress codes
Good staffs and really friendly towards students

Dislikes

Faculties that are incompetent and takes boring classes
There isn't much to dislike about devagiri

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is outdated. Anyways most of Indias education system needs to change to give undergraduate degree for a better chance for the real world. The exam timing is taken in the exact time with no delays whatsoever.

Collegw does not provide internship opportunities. During the internship period, we have to scout and find a company ourselves to take part forthe internship along with the projects we have to make and submit.

Placement Experience

The campus placements isnt as good. Teachers dont support/motivate students enough to helo for placement opportunities. Final semester students are eligible for placement. Highest package I have heard is 48,000

Fees and Financial Aid

There are two sections in this college. Government aided programs and Self financing programs. The aided programs only need to pay exam fees and hostel fees. The self financing students pays everything including tuition fees ranging from 13k-23k

Campus Life

The festivals are amazing. This is the part where you cannot skip throughout your years in this college. Nirvana the management fest usually conducts 30lakhs worth of programs as well as other programs from other departments conduct too. Sports team is also good. But extracurricular activities clubs is not as good as expected.

Admission

The admission form can be availed in the devagiri college website. Fees payment should be made through the website either using challan or other form of payment, application date will be mentioned in the website. The exams are moderate and not too hard. You can easily pass with bare minimum if you study.

Faculty

No issues with faculty-student ratio. The teachers are mostly highly qualified sometimes too qualified. But exceptions are where they have high credentials but a bad teacher who couldnt take classes properly. Otherwise all is good.

My Experience at the university

Placement Experience:

Since I'm in the 1st semester, i really don't have a great idea about the placements but as far as I know Chinmaya Vishwa vidyapeeth university has their dedicated training, placement and corporate relations center. The highest package was 7 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. The average package might be 4 LPA. Nike, mastek are the few companies who came to recruit After completing my degree, i might go for a job and then complete my PG.

soem subjects i feel very unnecessary are IKS and SANSKIRT..even so collectively speaking nobody understands the reason why they are being asked to learn iks(Indian knowledge system).and for sanskirt we could argue its a language and learning it would be some consideration a skillset but even though if that is the case we mustn't force somebody to learn it.it should be a choice

course curriculam was pretty relevent as my course was bba but teaching methods could have been better it was more traditonal than more interactive and modern. obiviously u have smart classes but it could have been more practical and the timing of exams was also good as you get ample amount of time to prepare and write your exams and the difficulty was also average not that hard

St Joseph's College, Devagiri: The beginning of success and prosperity.

This college was my first choice and I am grateful that I got into it. Our +2 marks is the parameter to get the admission and after that you'll have a short interview as well. Some Devagiri things that you should know before joining.

To get admission students should have 85% of marks. As i have 93.5% i got the seat very easily. I was applied online by myself, I don't remember the application fees. I've availed OBC reservation benefits but I don't know about the details. The frequency of exam is around within every 4-5 months.
