Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum can be improved but overall it is really helpful. The only problem is the limited amount of time provided to complete the course The faculty members constantly provide us with information about entrance exams Some subjects are really difficult and require more number of classes within a week

Internships Opportunities

3

Hdfc sbi banks provide 100000 per annum for bsc graduated U can easily bag a job at nabard too The 4th year gives an internship where u are supposed to go to an assigned village and help the farmers there with their problems This lasts for 3 months

Placement Experience

3.5

From the 3rd semester itself the placements come The campus comes from sbi hdfc banks and chemical fertiliser companies The highest salary offered was 1200000 per annum The percentage of students getting a job is usually 50 depending on the cgpa Im thinking of sitting offcampus because I want to pursue masters

Fees and Financial Aid

With every year the tuition fee increases by 50000 While it is a minimal value it helps maintain the whole process The bcs course costs 800000 in total and the msc and phds really vary Not a lot of scholarships are available for the stufents Campus and job opportunities basically come from banks and fertiliser companies

Campus Life

2

The freshers farewell happen yearly as expected The annual function namely arna and some other festivities happen yearly as well The sports department is well mainted with prizes Although it lacks in student run social groups and clubs

Admission

The sc and st need to pay half the tuition feels meaning 400000 for the bsc course The admission process is really easy and the form is easily available on the website but the other aspects such as getting exact information can be improved because the administrative department lacks

Faculty

4

There are 100 faculty members for every 200 students Half of the faculty are really experienced and the other half are assistant professors but that doesn't mean they aren't heavy on knowledge The faculty are really approachable and readily available for all your queries

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture is one of the important and relevant subjects out of all. If we say about Indian context then most of the people are dependent on agriculture. So in India it's relevance is very high. This curriculum consists all type of subjects like agronomy, soil science, economics, marketing, pathology, genetics and breeding, horticulture etc. this course is more based on practical than the theory. In our curriculum the mid sem occurs in the middle of the semester which is approx march in winter semester and in September- october in monsoon semester and the end semester exam held in end of the semester which is in December in monsoon semester and may in winter semester.

I generally loved how they showed they give 100% placements. But there is not any. The teaching methods however is very good as they give us mainly practical knowledge and skill based education. Which really helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As India is a agricultural country most people depends on agriculture so I choose this course that I think it might have more scope. Through this course, we covered both theory and practice; we planted crops, prepared the field, applied manure to the soil, and irrigated the field. The difficulty is not too hard, and there are about 4 exams in a year, which is very good. In this course we must visit the village and interact with village people know their problems and try to find solutions. In our college we are less interactive with village farmers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Agriculture course is highly vast and informative. This course actually provides economic knowledge about the food we consume in our daily life and also provides the information about how they are grown and taken care of by our hardworking farmers. And talking about the difficulty level it's actually easy and we just have to get involved in this course as much as we can. Improvement this course requires is to give proper guidance to our farmers and also to provide them with proper wages they deserve.
