Likes

The teachers because they very friendly some teachers are different but most of them are very friendly, for being a North Indian studying in South India its bit difficult understand there language but because of the friendly nature it does not bother

Dislikes

Still there is formal dress code like u can't wear jeans or tshirt only formal or cotton pants.

I am not a big fan of old education system which was followed from decades without major changes but I am not saying subjects are not relevant but the way they use teach that is not relevant because the world is more practical but in college they are still in the old style college theory theory theory.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea how they increasing the fee but I have seen a drastic change in few years. When i was join in 2021 B.E CSE fee was 1 lakh per year but after one that become 1.65 lakh/year then after one more that become 2.80 lakh/year. They are providing some scholarship by conducting there own entrance exam.

Campus Life

There are some clubs fests going one throughout the year but I know only one which is vels nakshatra annual fest use to held in the month of March most of the time that was a fantastic and super experience. They use to provide different sports and extra curricular events throughout the year.

Admission

There is no entrance exam for admission, anyone can take admission directly but there is one entrance they are conducting just for the scholarship. The admission process is very smooth just pay the fee submit the documents welcome you are a student of vels congratulations

Faculty

They faculty to student ration is around 1:50 means one teacher on every 50 students. I use to interact with a lot not only about study but other issues as well and they are friendly they are support me.

Life and Difficulties at SRM University from honest POV

Placement Experience:

the placements start from third year. there are multiple oncampus companies that visited like juspay,zs associates, cognizant,accenture,capegemini and etc. the average package is aroung 5,00,000 the percentage of student is around 60-70 around this year but its still going on by this march.

The placements for me started from end of 3rd year itself. The highest package was around 8 LPA from Mr. Cooper with additional 2L bonus if you stayed for 2 years. Avg. package was 4 LPA. 10-15 good and decent companies visited here.
