Review on CIET

The college is the best but it has to provide some placements opportunities too.

The Course Curriculum is framed by the Anna University. The curriculum is no good and not that bad too. There will be normally 3 practical papers and 6 theoretical papers in one semester. The exam structure is also framed by Ann University. There will be three internals before the final exams. Their internal exams carry 20 percent of the marks.

As far as the mechanical department is considered, hardly one or two core companies like S&T Engineers, visited our campus for placements. But many companies visited the campus for the students of other branches. Most of the companies that visited the college were from the BPO sector, and only a few software companies like IVTL visited our campus. The placement achievements of our college are diminishing. Placements are going worse year by year.

There will be a lot of technical events in the campus but there are too little non-technical events takes place in the college. There will be no festive celebrations. There will be no sports day. But the technical events are very well organized. There will be at least 10 events per departments in one semester.

Our college is the one among the college that follows the proper fee structure of Anna University. Compared to other colleges the fee structure is very low. The hostel fee is also too low. But however the bus fee will be a bit high, it's only because of the distance from the city.

I have not applied for any scholarship or loan. But the college provides the government scholarship for students and it's a very easy process completely taken care of by the college itself.

The campus life is awesome. The environment the atmosphere makes CIET a better place to enjoy alongside learning The college maintains a fair gender ratio. Moreover, there will be a 50-50 gender ratio. The labs are good when compared to other colleges.

The alumni are very helpful in nature. The alumni of our college are very helpful. They help us in our placement training and even in our projects.

I got admission in CIET the counseling held by the Anna University. Based on the marks obtained in 12th final exams I was given a group of colleges and I choose CIET because I thought it was the best when compared to the other options. This is how most of the people get into Engineering Colleges in TamilNadu

The faculty members are very supportive. Most of the faculty members are helpful and qualified. Most of the faculty members are pursuing their Ph.D., and there are some doctorates too. They don't use any unique teaching methods. The Faculties are very free to ask doubts.
