What Students Say

- Plethora of things about KNMIET that stands out but teaching has to be that aspect that inspired me the most.
- Cafes of the college wer amazing and the best part was that only vegetarian food was served in the cafes.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was a miniature to B. Tech as I referred many B.Tech books. BCA is often considered a shade below B.Tech but if the course is advanced a bit, it will rather be as good as B.Tech in CSE. This in my view should be improved as major job opportunities and training sessions were reserved for B.Tech students.
Placement Experience
50-50 is what was it during my batch. As half the students were placed and the remaining like me went for further studies or went on to find a job off campus. Companies like Infosys and HCL offered placements of 3-4 LPA but this was indeed the upper bracket as some companies offered even lesser amounts.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees weren't that high to be honest as 30 thousand a year for a professional course like BCA is peanuts. Also, the job scenario was quite good as IT is in recession but not at KNMIET. I was a part of the social and sports club and represented the college in a chess competition at DU.
Campus Life
The college is full of events but students here were more studious and two floor library of the campus was therefore always full. Classrooms were airconditioned and sporting facilities were amazing too. Huge grounds that two cricket matches could b played simultaneously. Indoor sporting facilities like table tennis, pool, and carrom were also available at the campus.
Admission
12th science with computers as the main elective was mandatory. Luckily no entrance was required as there were direct admissions. The difficulty of exams was at par with any top university as notes and books provided were not enough, and questions did come out of the syllabus too.
Faculty
The ratio of student to teacher was a little high as the strength of the class was high. My interaction with teachers was very often as some of the professors would even chill with us at the cafes and share their stories of how colleges were operated in their times.
