Likes

The hostel Life is really amazing, proper facilities are provided along with great security.
The sports complex the best place to roam. The football field in night lights is just mesmerizing.
The people here are great. Good to see huge diversity among the friends. The senior are very helpful.

Dislikes

The language barrier with some people because of huge proportion of Telugu batchmate.
The less availability of the food canteen, only few shops are there and especially for nights.
The location is little bit away from the city, and no good market is available nearby.We have to patna for important works or to do shopping.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is pretty balanced in mathematics and computing department. A good blend of cs courses with mathematics. We got almost every important courses of cs. That's help us to explore other fields like quant and others. There were 2 exams conducted in every semester for each subject one mid sem and other end sem,Along with few quizzes. The exam level is moderate.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees is 1lakh per semester. There were fees weavier for students have income less than 5lakh. And no tution fees for people having income less than 1 lakh and SC ST candidates. There were so many scholarship opportunities for students like MERIT CUM AND NSP.

Campus Life

The campus life is just amazing. There are so many things to do and enjoy. The sports facilities are good. The tech clubs are one of the best in 2nd gen IITs. The campus is still in its construction phase but the hostel are good. Lot of works are going ins side campus. There are 3 major fest ANWESHA -the annual fest, CELESTA - The tech fest, and INFINITO - sports fest. Wide range of books are available in library in online mode also. The class rooms are built great along with technical advancement.

Admission

The eligibility criteria is that you should cleared jee advance. And the course are allocated based on the cutoff in JOSSA counseling. The admission process was easy, the registration process was completed online (faced Littke bit of difficulty due to server). And you have to report offline on a given date, with original documents for verification along with fees submission receipt and that's all.

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is not good at all. The avrage package of this college is around 4-5 Lpa. Because this college is new so the placement is not good here. But Our college is trying their best for getting the good placement to student.

Reality of the intership

Campus placement was good as I came but it is degrading year to year, this year only 30 percent of ece students are placed, no more company of ece core came here ece and cse get same job as no of students increased in my batch 300 and ece 250 thus in 2027 placement will become worst , Upsc, gate, ssc these are end things

IIT Patna is very best in India. According to NIRF ranking 2025, IIT Patna is ranked 36th in the overall category, and 39th in the research institutes category. In the India Today rankings 2024, it was ranked 9th in the category of colleges. Admission process was very smooth, firstly you apply / registration in B.Sc (CSDA) course.
