Remarks

This is a good option if you're looking for a college with tight rules and regulations. This college has good reputation for academics.

Entrance Preview

I opted for this college as it is a college which focuses primarily on academics. There is no compromise in the academic quality. This college is one good option for higher education near my house. The fee structure offered here was less than the colleges nearby.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is outdated. We still study about the principles of working of machines which are not even present in a present industrial scenario. As Engineering is a course in which the students need to acquire good practical knowledge in the subject, this is a major downside.

Internships Opportunities

No my college does not provide any internship opportunities and does not help the students in finding one.The students have to find one on their own. This is one area in which I believe the college needs to improve very much.

Placement Experience

1

The placement and job opportunities after graduation are very poor. If you have got connections and have people to recommend you for a job, then it is easy. Otherwise you will have a hard time finding one in the core field. This has been the condition of private Engineering colleges lately.

College Events

3.5

There is a number of celebration events which will happen in an academic year in my college. The festival of Onam is celebrated grandly in our college. There is also an Arts festival every year. A sports meet will be conducted every year. These all are helpful in providing beautiful memories.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is both feasible as well as expensive depending on the side you view it. For a meritorious student, the college offers seat at a rate which is similar to the fees in government colleges. But for a student who has procured admission through management quota the management charges a good amount as fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I have not received any scholarship from the college. But I know some friends who received some from the government as they belonged to the scheduled castes and scheduled Tribes.

Campus Life

2

Campus life is pretty much the same all day. Long hours of boring lectures followed by sleepless nights of work is pretty much Engineering life. The labs in our college have a good reputation and have latest equipments.Sports activities are conducted weekly.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I greatly appreciate the quality of food available at our canteen. It provides homely food at an affordable price. The friendly attitude of the staff also needs to be appreciated. The college hostel provides accommodation to both girls and boys. Both of these hostels can host 300 students.

Alumni/Alumna

I personally felt the absence of a strong alumni association in our college. That is mainly because of the lack of time the students of this college find in their busy schedule.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is very much complicated. There will be Two series exam at the early stages of the semester and one model exam before the actual University exam. The internal marks are calculated by assessing the students performance in each exam.

Admission

There is an entrance examination named KEAM which is conducted every year by the state government. It is a statewide exam. A ranklist is prepared from the students who attended the exam and passed it . The admission to professional courses will be carried out from the ranklist.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty in my college are very much knowledgeable about the subjects and are supporting to the students. Most of them have a master's degree qualification and are experienced. The quality of teaching is above par with the colleges in our area. The college primarily focuses on academics and it pays off.

From 6th semester students get eligible for campus placements. I do not know which companies visit as i have only joined this year but as what i know from the seniors the companies are looking for students with skills over marks. The average package offered is 100000-200000 per year and more than 10 companies visit per year. About 80 percentage of students are getting placed though campus placement. My plans after getting the degree is to find a job outside of india if i can

Course Curriculum Overview:

So when we consider curriculum, I was in 2015 KTU curriculum and it was not that much updated with current technology. But after there was 2019 KTU curriculum which is more adapted with current technology are better. So curriculum not only will help us to obtain real life experience, so they will need us to complete extra curricular activities which is need 100 points mandatory for course completion is there , so considering that it is a good thing. You need to do intership, courses etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to really enhance my programming skills due to which I planned to enrol for this course. The curriculum does not manage to prepare you for real world applications as most of the time they include just the most basic of examples. I wish they would take some input from students too in the curriculum creation. The internals are conducted twice in a semester along with an end semester exam. The exams are usually easy to moderately difficult.
