The college is very affordable for middle class people.
The cultural fest (zephyr) of this college is fun

Dislikes

Location Of this college is worst, its literally in a mountain to you have to climb mountains (lol) everyday to attend classes here
The mindset of faculties as well as students are backwarded and horrible.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course I chose is Btech Computer science and engineering and the theory class of most subjects are avaerage here but the practical classes of coding and data visualisations are best in my opinion. There are minimum two labs for programming in each department and total 50 systems in each lab.

Class Size: 210Course Fees: INR 72000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee increase 1k-2k every year but the fees of this college is very less as a btech college The tuition fee for first year is 25k and then it decrese upto 22k from 2nd year. The hostel fee is 15k/yr and mess fee is 3300/month so my total total fee is 80k/ year.

Campus Life

The campus life is the average here. The location of the college is not so good . There is no club for art, coding, singing, dancing or anything, there is club for photography but there is no involvement. There are some fests like zephyr (15days cultural fest), navkriti (tech fest). The cultural fest is the biggest fest of this college.

Admission

The admission process is through JCECEB site as its a jharkhand government college. There are two types of seats here FREE SEAT(25k/yr) and PAYMENTSEAT(67k/yr), free seats are for students who performed good in JEE mains and payment seat is for anyone who attempted jee mains.

Actually after you qualify for your jee exams after this you think who is the better collage and after this for this college which is better branch for your interest but after jee not so much intrest about branches feels like every branch is same for me Than u choose your brach to see the packages . Placement Experience:

College placements are not good but now a day it is getting better year by year. 10 to 20 percent of students get placement rest students go for the off campus Placement.My plan is to clear gate exam .

Everything about NIT Jamshedpur

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester beginning only top companies start visiting the campus. All top IT companies visit the college. CSE branch has an average of 27 lpa with around 95% placements. The core branch also has very good placements. The MME branch and PIE branch has the best placements compared to every NITs. I am preparing for UPSC ESE. On an average around 97% students gets placed. Lowest package is 6.5 lpa and the highest is 82.5 lpa by Atlassian offered to 5 students of CSE, ECE and EE.

NIT JAMSHEDPUR Review

Placement Experience:

Replacement of our college is very good and it Jamshedpur is famous for placement only. In our branches that is civil here maximum packages 20 lpa and the average package is approx 8 lpa. Approx percentage of placement is above 95%. Many of the student goes for further studies and government job preparation.

There are more than 50 companies which visited here , Highest package was of 19lakhs/year (VM ware) and the Average package was of 6lakhs/year (Wipro) . 99% students of my batch got placed the placement ratio of this college is awesome. Plans after getting degree is for the government job and to clear CDS exam .

Inside Look: My Experience at Chaibasa Engineering College

One can take addmission in CEC via jee mains. After giving jee mains one have to apply for jcecb, which is the portal for taking addmission in government colleges of jharkhand. After jcecb conselling one can choose CEC and take free seat if the students ranking is good(above 75 percentile for cse branch). For those who are not eligible for free seat can apply for payment seat. There are direct admissions also. The admin staff is pretty helpful in the time of admission process. one can find application form from admin of CEC. The admission process in CEC is quite smooth....Read More
