Course Curriculum Overview

I pursued btech (cse) just because for money. As a freshman i have no idea how they will prepare for the real world but let's hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Similarly i can't comment on course curriculum and teaching methods as I just started the course. Timing ,frequency and difficulty of examination is okay.

Internships Opportunities

For internships, you have to find your own because college is not providing anything nor telling about opportunities about internships. You have to search in different companies websites or you can ask your upperclassman abiut internships

Placement Experience

First of all i am a freshman(1st year). So these are my research ig.... From 3rd year or specifically 6th semester, they are eligible for placements. Many companies visited ITER like deloitte , Microsoft, infosys, etc. I have no idea about no offers made to the students by companies. Highest package as of now went around 50lpa and for average package is around 6lpa. Percentage of getting placements are around 85 percent. My plans after getting a degree is simple that is to get a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Okay so like in 2023 batch case(btech cse) , overall course fee with hostel fee (non ac opting ) for students for 4 years will be around 16 lakh. And what i heard from my upperclassman , course fee is increasing per year (tho the amount is not specific as of my knowledge). There is no such scope for scholarship in SOA but if you score good marks in their exam , you may get a chance to select specialization (like AI/ML, IoT,Data science and cyber security as of now). Sorry to say but i have no idea about financial aid but I heard that SOA is supporting financial aid. Sorry I have no idea about 4th point.

Campus Life

Umm there is no annual and tech festival held in ITER. Books and journals collection are well managed and proficiency is also good. The families and technological provisions within classroom ate quite good. Soprts and extracurricular activities offered on campus is also good . Clubs of ITER is also good(on the surface).

Hostel Facilities

Each room in a hostel has 4 beds, 4 tables and 4 chairs for 4 students (for 4 bed non ac or ac type). There are many types of hostel like 2 bed , 3 bed and 4 bed ac or non ac. Meal quality is 5/10 and menu is 8/10. Registration process for hostel is quite simple and it held on the same day as of admission day. I am staying in hostel so no ned to rent a room , but who are thinking to rent they can search around the locality of campus.

Hostel Fee: INR 95000 per year

Admission

Eligibility for admission in Btech(cse) is to score min 60 percent in physics, chemistry and mathematics . You can check details about admission or eligibility criteria in SOA's official website. I don't remember getting any reservation benefits, check in website if there is any. Timing is too random , lol. Admission process should be made less crowded and also they should maintain punctuality .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

ITER Journey

I had also applied for Chandigarh University alongwith my friend we got admission into our desired branches we were also given scholarship of about 70000 on the 175000 tution fees but decided to withdraw because of not so student-friendly environment, transportation issue. The scholarship is given on the basis of CUCET online proctor baes exam conducted by the university itself for admission. In our college the admission process starts from March or April and admission is done in two ways- by giving online SAAT exam, or through JEE Mains result. It continues till the month of August until the vacant seats aren't filled. The overall admission experience is average, after selection you are first required to pay some amount as demand draft to the university in order to confirm your admission. My first impression of the college I chose

I applied in vit chennai , lpu , kiit , and vit bhopal . I got confirmed admission from all the colleges but i chose this college as it was in my hometown and the rating and education background of the college was impressible. No i didnt get any rejection from any college i applied. The admission process includes online application which is free of cost. Review for Soa national institute of law. Read this before taking admission

I had applied to symbiosis law college, Lloyd law college, Kiit law college. I got confirmed admission from symbiosis law college Noida and Hyderabad I got confirmed from lloyd and kiit as well. I think the most important factor of mine choosing this college is its fees which is quite affordable and the environment here which is quite friendly and non toxic. I just could not clear my CLAT examination. I never got rejection from the college I applied. For admission one need to 1st give CLAT or Soa conduct its own examination called SAAT you need to clear SAAT then you will get offer letter then you need to come to the college on the day given to you for admission and make the admission with the fees provided in the mail only and the methods of making payment.
