THE TECHNICAL LIFE

I am generally intrested in electrical engineering and our college provides great opportunites for this department. We have all kinds of labs and digital classes available in our college which motivates the students to study and experience many more. In our college we have a club named as ROBOTICS which encourages the students to explore in various electrical and electronics projects. Our curriculum includes a lots of practical knowledge in which our professors guides us and it will also helps us to get into placements. We have two internals in a semester and the semester is conducted by the BPUT.

Our college provides lots of internship opportunities for students to enhance the technical skills of the students , so that students can easily qualify the placements . In our college the internship is conducted in both online and offline mode. We can do online internships using Internshala , Udemy etc. There are so many companies coming for offline internships for core branches with a basic stipend of 15,000 . Companies also provides preplacement course to meritious and talented students.

From 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. There are so many reputed and big companies visit to our college like Amazon, Wipro , Accenture , TATA power, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Honda , Airtel, Infosys,Ultratech etc. The highest package offered by the companies to the non core branch is 12 lakhs and to the core branches is 8 lakhs. The average package for non core is 6 lakhs and for core branches is 5 lakhs. Percentage of students getting placement is around 60% but as our college is new (established in 2009), it is improving year by year. My plans after getting the degree is to get a good placement with good package or to give the GATE exam .

In our college we have no such tuition fee increase policy . In our college the course fee is same for all the branch and that is 35000 per year and the hostel fee is 50000 per year including all the mess fee which is much more reliable than any other govt. colleges in odisha. In our college we have a lot of scholarships opportunites which are provided by the govt. of odisha to help students financially and the scholarships are like post-matric , e-medhabruti etc. , by which you can get upto 20,000 per year and it can be increased in case of lower cast students.

In our college there are lots of fests and programs conducted by college authorites like EXUBERANCE, TECH FEST. In which students can show their skills. Students get to live a proper college life here. There are also many sports events was conducted like SAURYA and annual sports program etc. SAURYA is counducted between many other reputed colleges in odisha. In our college we have a good and reliable collection of books of different kinds like for GATE and many technical and literature books available in our central library. In our class rooms we have digital boards which helps professors to teach in a efficient way. Also we have a SHADOW club which deals with the photography and social media groups of our college.

In our hostel rooms we have two pairs of table and chair along with two beds. Our hostel does not provied any kind of internet facility , to get internet facility we have to contact to the local internet provider. Our rooms and corridors are always neat and clean . We have 24X7 water facility near to hostel rooms. To be honest our meal quality is not so good but it is manageable. We have varieties of food items in our menu . When you get admission into this college at that same time you have to apply for hostel and the hostels are quite affordable as compared to any other colleges. I have not rented PG but if you want you can get one nearby our college, which is around the radious of 5 kms.

To get in this college first you have to give entrance exams like JEE mains or OJEE. Only through these you can get into this college. In our college the cut-off for electrical engineering is limited to around 5 lakhs rank. You can get this application form from OJEE councelling website as well as college website. Note that you have participate in OJEE councelling in order to get admission in this college. Reservations are also there for lower cast students. As you have to give JEE mains , you have to prepare thoroughly the subjects of 11th and 12th. One thing i can suggest is admission process was not so organised but the college is taking this concern as serious and improving towards it.
