Remarks

The college management is good. They are cooperative and no discrimination or misconduct is appreciated. Some directors were jerk as they were way too dominating and irrational but they were not continued for more than 1 year. Overall a good college.

Entrance Preview

I was new in Kota, I wanted to prepare for JEE but I didn't wanted to skip a year so I decided to opt a college which is nearest to city. All other colleges were very far away and new set up. MIT is the oldest among all. Apart from this, my second cousin was also there so my family decided to enroll me into this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The syllabus was at par with RTU's norms. We had 5-8 subjects in each semester. Initial semesters were tough but the followed semesters became easier because we started understanding technical stuff better. It is not very skill based or practical syllabus. You'd need to put extra effort to improve employable skills. The algorithms and programming taught in the curriculum are very basic.

Internships Opportunities

Not yet. The internship concept is not available in any college affiliated by RTU. There are two projects in 7th and 8th semesters, these are also without stipend.

Placement Experience

1

As they claim, they are the best in Kota. In my experience they held most of the placement drives and fairs in Kota and even students from other college were invited and they got job too. The companies that recruit in these fair are quite low class and mostly start ups. You'd get only 1 or 2 reputed companies in recruitment.

College Events

4

There are various events and cultural festivals. A whole week celebration takes place every year. The dates are announced keeping exam dates in mind. It is mostly fun. Orientation and Farewell are also held for each branch separately. Some sport events are also celebrated and there is a robotics/programming competition every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is at par with RTU's norms. Mostly it is between 24 to 30k each semester. The fee submission is not much hectic and they announce it beforehand so that students can arrange fee in given time. The staff is cooperative to students and fee can be relaxed in special cases.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship is offered in my knowledge. In few semesters RTU's toppers were also with us in our batch. they didn't get any recognition on even the notice board. So, I must say it is disappointing.

Campus Life

2

Gender ratio is good. A girl will never feel alone in any branch. There are many girls in each batch. Labs are good and practicals are compulsory. Students generally go for mass bunk if they want to skip lab class. Students are not from other states, there are 90% Rajasthani students only who live in nearby villages or town.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel allotted to engineering students is located in main city. The food quality is good in mess and hostels are best in Kota. The students are taken care of. There is no ragging or illegal activity allowed in hostel. They keep track of visits and entry exit time too.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no alumni network. I heard they are planning for a alumni meet but nothing is finalized yet.

Exam Structure

There are three assessment - Midterms(2 in each sem), final exam(once in each sem), practicals(once in each sem). There are 4 practicals in most of the semesters. There are assignment submissions in each month too. The dates of submitting assignments are not well defined and mostly these are like surprise tests.

Admission

I filled RPET counseling. It was the first college filled in my preference order. My marks were good so I got selected in first counseling. You need to do the document verification at college. The staff is very cooperative to new comers. They will help you in every possible way.

Faculty

3

The faculty can be divided in two parts - old faculty and newbies. The old faculty is experienced and their teaching skills are commendable but they are hardly concerned about student's learning. The new teachers suck at teaching in classroom but they are very cooperative when it comes to helping students in projects or doubt solution.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for summer internship (after 3rd year) from start of 3rd year (5th sem) and for the placements, companies come to the college from 7th semester onwards. Companies like jo Morgan, Deloitte, Flipkart, goldman sachs , PepsiCo ,oracle, bny ,ubs , rippling etc come here for placements, some of them come for 2months and 6months internship too. Average package offered by them is 9-10 lpa , jpmc , Goldman, visa they offer till 12 lpa and it can go up for some of the companies . Most of the companies allow to sit for 6.5cgpa and above but some of them allows 7.5 and above cgpa and jpmc allows 8.5cgpa and plus as far I know till now . I am currently looking forward to work in a company and get a placement.

Reviewed on Mar 2, 2025(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is vast and allows a student to explore all the possible options to take before deciding on one . The field of elctronics and communication engineering allows one to deal with electronics and learn all the possible tinkering with them which is a very fascinating part as all the gadgets possible today were made of them. The curriculum does satisfy this thirst by teaching about them in the class of electronics and electricals and then experimenting in the lab with them . The areas for improvement could be that if a student is interested in a specific field then should be allowed to venture that field throughly instead of sitting in every class , but that is an imrovement for the indian education system as as whole . The classes of every subject does occur frequently and and exams take place every month in a form of quiz or proper pen based exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I like computer science and I can see my future in this course. The current ratio in computer science courses is around 1:5. And we don't have technical communication teaching at present and the college is saying that they will recruit teachers as soon as possible. The student-teacher ratio in all the branches is around 1:3. All facilities are well qualified and teach well but they are not permanent and hence they may or may not be changed next year. There are two semesters in each year and an examination is conducted after each semester. The difficulty level of these exams ranges from moderate to difficult.
