It is a wonderful place for personal development. A person would be able to learn about everything that he/she needs, as they are going towards adulthood.
Entrance Preview
Post-graduation course in Statistics is available only in a few education centers. Bharathiar University campus is one among them. So I chose to join this campus. Apart from that, the department of statistics has a selection procedure based on merit.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is worth and well organized. It is beneficial for the future of students. The curriculum gives importance to job opportunities and the student can easily carry on his/her studies with the help of the library facility provided. The college follows CBCS.
Internships Opportunities
I don't know if the college provides the internship. I think that the choice is that of the respective departments of study.
Placement Experience
It depends on the department of study. Each department has its own list of companies displayed on the university website. The interviews and exams by the placement companies would be conducted accordingly to the choice of the department in the even semesters.
College Events
All days of national and international importance are celebrated in Bharathiyar University. Apart from that, national and international conferences would be conducted by various departments of the university. Students from many other institutions and experienced personalities would join the great events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible. The fees depend on the semester, the course offered and the subject of study. Courses which require lab facilities would be made to pay a higher fee than normal. There would be the concession for the students who belong to the eligible category.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are provided by the state and central government. The university doesn't provide any scholarships.
Campus Life
Campus life depends on the flexibility of the department and the faculty members in the department. Students would be more free and active in an environment where the department is supportive of good campus activities.The campus is situated in a beautiful hillside. The number of female students is higher than that of male students.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students are helpful, Especially when the students are from another state of the country. They help to get used to the campus and its culture.
Exam Structure
The course is offered semester wise. Exams would be conducted at the end of each semester. The university provides a booklet of 32 pages for examination to the candidate. The question paper is based on the syllabus provided. One can get access to the scribe if needed.
Admission
The admission was based on merit.A list was published on the basis of merit, and later the students has to go through an interview to get admitted to the institute.An application is send through the internet and fee paid by demand draft or DD. Then call letter is received and name list is published.Students would be admitted after an interview by checking all the required documents.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is helpful. The teachers, staff, and workers in the various departments and University offices are helpful indeed. Any queries can be clarified through direct contact with the university officials. Thus there is easy access to information.
