Course Curriculum Overview
The college is affiliated with Mumbai University, thereby adhering to all university policies. However, it's worth noting that the curriculum from Mumbai University appears somewhat outdated and could benefit from a revision. Each semester entails three exams- two unit tests and one semester exam - amounting to a total of six exams per year. With examinations occurring every 3-4 months, it allows for a continuous assessment structure. The exams are generally manageable, and one can qualify by combing academic efforts with the development of additional skills.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are facilitated through the Internshala platform. Some companies also gives internship in college but they are very less. However, there have been instances of students securing placements through other means.
Placement Experience
The college is making strides in enhancing placements year by year. Eligibility starts from the third year, with companies like Tata and wipro visiting. Local companies in Virar offer competitive packages, with an average placement range of 4-5 LPA. Many students opts for M.Tech or international opportunites after graduationn.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college adheres to all reservation policies outlined by the Maharashtra government. The annual college fees amount to 70,000, covering two semesters, with a potential annual increase of approximately 4-5 thousand.
Campus Life
The overall college experience is positive. Notable events include the technical fest "Techchase", which, while not a par with IITs, offer a good platform. The cultural fest "Hitashi" is also enjoyable. The library is well- stocked, and there's a book bank for reservation category students. Classrooms have single benches. However, there are no specific clubs, and sports facilities are available in common rooms for boys and girls, accessible with the ID cards.
Admission
The admisssion process was exceptionally smooth, with the entire staff being extremely helpful. Each student was assigned a dedicated staff member to assist with the Mumbai University form filling process. Qualifying in the MHTCET entrance exam is a prerequisite for admission. The cutoff for the general category ranged between 90-92 percentile for the Computer Science Engineering in AI ML branch. All reservation benefits are readily available for eligible candidates. Aditionally, the MHTCET exam was from easy to moderate level.
