What Students Say
Likes
- A few teachers are calm and highly receiving
- The college is situated close to the main road
- The social life it grants to students. Since there are 5 sections in each year with 60 students per class.
Dislikes
- Doubt clarification. Most teachers lack knowledge.
- 60 students per class and the class is so small, it becomes noisy, making it uncontrollable for the teachers.
- Extracurricular activities, events and programs which are non existent
Course Curriculum Overview
The course itself is quite nice. The books, and the knowledge it provides has a very practical usage as opposed to others. Although since this is an undergraduate course, the topics don't dive in deeper as I expected them to. Only the basic surface level knowledge is thoroughly covered in my opinion. Also, there are various books to choose from, each have their own benefits and drawbacks. Some cover the exact information that is required for a student to score good marks in the exam while there are other books which cover a vaste amount of topic and is much more reliant on the application based.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure again in the merit basis, which is the percentage acquired in your 12th or inter, which will directly determine your fee for the college. Higher the marks in inter, lower your fee. Lower the marks in inter, higher the fee. Speaking of scholarship, it is basically non existent. The college does not provide any sort of financial assistance, the fee must be paid within 3 months or less for every academic year. And about the campus placements, they are known to be trash and useless. The college advertises the placements as they the students are getting placed in good reputed companies, although the twist is that most of the students are being placed into call centre jobs at the company .
Campus Life
The college timings as compared to other colleges/ Universities, it starts from 9 o'clock and ends at 1:50. So, you spend very less amount of time at the campus. It has 5 periods throughout the day, with each period being 50 mins long along with a 10 mins break and 30 mins of lunch break. Also there is no canteen as such but puffs and samosas are served by an outside vendor. Not may festivals are celebrated here at the college. Although there is a library period, the library is non existent. There are computers but we barely get to use them. No sports as such. No extracurricular activities.
Admission
I went to the college along with my dad to check about the admissions since I studied my inter at the same college, I was keen to look forward to the degree college as well. I was received well, greeted with water and some snack, then we proceed to talk about the ongoing admission. The admission is done without a test/exam, wherein they consider your inter percentage as a base for the fee structure. Higher the marks you scored in inter, lower the fee per annum and vise versa. The admission process could've have been improved if it was extrance based and merit based wherein fee structure is depended on the marks you scored on the test, which fully displays a student's subject knowledge
