A Good college for MCA course

Attendance is mandatory, it is both good & bad. But a good college overall.

It has a good placement record. I know many seniors who have got good placement. It is also known for the studies. Teachers are qualified and focus on students weak areas. it is also the oldest college of GGSIPU for M.C.A. Metro connectivity is also there.

MCA course is recognized by GGSIPU. A lot of focus is on practicals exposure. Apart from the subjects, regular Seminars, workshops are conducted. Special placement preparation classes are held in summers to train students. Stress is given to developing good projects every semester.

It has a good placement record. Many reputed companies come here and conduct placement drives here. Recently one student bagged a CTC of 14 Lakhs. I know many seniors who have got good placement. The good thing is that college has a strong Alumni backing and they bring many companies here.

We have an annual college fest, which is on a big scale. Chandiwala carnival is also a major celebration. Every year it is held in Jan/ Feb. many cultural events are organized regularly like gaming challenge, coding challenge, Rangoli, best out of waste and so on.

Though the fees are slightly high, it is actually value for money. We get all the genuine software and latest hardware in the college.

College provides many scholarship programs. At admission time also they provide a scholarship to top ranking students. 2 of my friends grabbed Smartchip scholarship in the first and second year.

we get a lot of exposure to ECA- seminars, workshops, PDP sessions. experts from outside are called. Debates, declamations, GD are also done on regular basis. many cultural events are organized regularly like gaming challenge, coding challenge, Rangoli, best out of waste and so on.

The college has a separate hostel for girls and boys. The college has a good campus. It is very green and away from pollution. The college has a mess facility. it provides clean food like home food. But choice of food is limited. I think the college must increase its menu items and choices.

Alumni interactions are held at regular intervals. They are very helpful and share their experiences.

One class test is held in every sem. The student also has to submit regular assignments and projects. they give a lot of emphasis on projects. It gives a lot of exposure to the student. Training is also given on specific technologies like Python, PHP, Hadoop and upcoming technologies.

I gave IPU CET and opted BCIIT as my third choice in the preference list. I did not make it in the first round of Counselling. But finally my luck clicked and I got through in the third counselling. the faculty and staff are very cooperative and work hard with the students.

The faculty is very good and experienced. Teachers work hard with the students. What I like about this college is that if some student is lacking in some area, then faculties put all their efforts to work hard with a student. The student can go to any faculty and discuss his problem and teachers are helping.
