Remarks

College is at its infant stage. Government is trying its level best to improve the college infrastructure and also faculty and other facilities. Overally college is nice and I am proud of my college.

Entrance Preview

I took Odisha Joint Engineering Entrance (OJEE) and I secured a rank 2457. As a result I was qualified for Mechanical discipline in my college. I had a special intrest on mechanical branch from childhood. So I took this as my career.

Course Curriculum Overview

As we know Mechanical Department is considered as the best or the royal branch of engineering. It is one among the core branches. The course structure includes all subjects of mechanical and also mathematics with a little focus on economics and organizational behaviour.

Internships Opportunities

I took internship in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and I studied about Sukhoi 30 engine which is world's fastest jet engine.

Placement Experience

We go for off campus to many companies. And presently I am placed at TCS. Around 100 students were palced out of 240. The package was 3-4 laks per annum.

College Events

We celebrate Techfest called as Ansalone and annual function named as Majesta. We also celebrate fresher's day,Sport's week and farewell including biswakarma puja. Students actively participate and eagerly wait for the functions. We celebrate it in a grand way.

Fees and Financial Aid

Government under Department of Higher Education provides annual scholarship to all meritorious and elligible students. Moreover students with low parental income are given special grants by government like Prerana and zero intrest Education loans.

Campus Life

Campus life is awsome. Gender ratio is around 40% girls and 60% boys. We held so many competitions in our literary society. Robotics is a mojor event in techfest including roborace robo war and line follower. Students in and around our campus and also students from other colleges also participate in it.

Hostel Facilities

One of the best hostel and mess among all government colleges,I can assure you. Hygenic food and hostel rooms are awesome. Almost all those who opt for hostel gets a seat. If any one goes for private hostel they charge 3000 rupees per month as a rent and

Alumni/Alumna

My seniors show us the path. Some of them are University toppers in various semesters and are now placed in best maharatna companies and some are with M.Tech at IIT and NIT. Alumni group started a year before. We hold annual alumni association.

Faculty

The faculty members are highly talented proffesors. They teach us well and clear our doubts.

Placements are definitely there for coaching centres in my branch. Many big and reputed coaching institutions like akash, byjus etc came for recruitment. More R & D comapnis can be included. the nterview process and the packages were decent for the role offered.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The technical background and future influenced me to choose this course. The preparation for real-world applications or further academic pursuits are average. Theres no fair improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The frequency of the exams are 2 sem exams and 4 quiz in class exams. The timings for sem exams are 3 hours while for quiz tests its 30 minutes. The difficulty level is average of all the exams

Parala Maharaja Engineering College BERHAMPUR is a very good college for B.Tech in the branch like civil and electrical. I opt for civil because I have a interest in civil engineering. The college has a better infrastructure and better faculty in civil that’s why I chose civil and this college has better infrastructure than other colleges like Indira Gandhi institute of technology Sarang. It is a better place than what I have explored in this four year of my study. The faculties of civil engineering are very good. I opt for civil in this college because of the infrastructure that is better than the other colleges. The admission here is very simple. You have to submit the documents that you had uploaded at the time of counseling. The additional factor is that the aspiring candidate must have passed 12th grade and have appeared in JEE Main exam or OJEE Exam. After this the next process involves applying for counseling of OJEE. No I don't apply any other colleges my first preference is this college which I got admission. I choose this college because it's nearby my home town and the low price of fees structure.
