Remarks

The college is a place for holistic development and to give your career a kick-start. This college is the perfect place for this. It just lacks a good canteen.

Entrance Preview

I am an Arts Graduate and aspired to do MBA from a reputed yet economical university. I appeared for CMAT and SNAP. Got selected in SSBF also. The entrance exam for Sardar Patel University's MBA Department admission I had to appear in CMAT exam organised by AICTE. With CMAT marks one has to apply in Gujcet for MBA/MCA in the month of June. I opted for this particular college because it is very famous in Gujarat and the university is known nationally. It has got A grade with 3.5 CGPA from NAAC. It has great qualified and experienced teachers with a very good infrastructure, library and connectivity. Finally, a really good return on an investment made me choose HP IBM, SPU.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is good with well articulated balance of theoretical and practical concepts, applications and principles. They follow IIMs and have similar teaching methodology and books. The course are well assessed with the help of various case studies. College has great library and has also subscribed to Emeralds database for case studies and Capital Line for financial datas.

The placement opportunity is good at this college. The college is famous for its marketing placements. Marketing department sees a near 100% placement and Finance also sees more than 80% placements with good companies like HDFC, Dmart, ICICI, ITC, BAJAJ CAPITAL etc. The packages range from 3 LPA to 6.5 avg and highest 9LPA for 2018 pass out batch.

College Events

3

There are various technical events throughout the academic year. There are inter college competitions for business. There are various cultural events on important days. Freshers and Farewells. Garba Nights, sporting events and various arts competitions. It is a holistic way of teaching and development.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very good and economical. There are 2 basis. Government aided and self financed. Government Aided fees is 20,000 for a Year and Self Financed fees is 40,000 INR for a year. There is annual payment for 2 year hence Government fees in total is near 40k and Self Financed fees in total is 80k.

The Gender Ratio of the institute is almost 60:40. 60 being for boys and 40 for girls. The total strength is near 85. There are various parties and games played in a hostel and it is quite enjoyable. The area is full of hangout joints and students making the city a lively place. The city is safe to roam freely for girls and boys. There is frequent guest lectures, workshops, scope classes. There is a cultural club, social club, marketing club and finance club for various events organized for the whole year. There is no political unions or elections. There are people of various race and religion with good diversity.

Hostel Facilities

3

There is a very good hostel namely MBA NRI hostel for MBA students with very good rooms, occupancy and amenities. The payments is under 20k for a year and is to be paid in the beginning of the year. There is enough room for all students for outside the city.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a good alumni base with many alumnus working in very senior or top most positions in reputed organisations in India and abroad. There is a yearly alumni meet and a really good place for networking.

Exam Structure

The exams and labs are rather frequent with very less free time. There are mid term and end term for each semester. Total there are four semester of 6 months each in the course of MBA. The exams are written, practical and constant evaluation throughout the sessions.

Admission

For Admission I applied for CMAT exam which is a computer based exam happens in January. Consisting of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Vocabulary and General Knowledge. I got a score and All India Rank in merit list. With my score and roll number I applied in Gujcet for MBA/MCA for admission into Gujarat's state in the month of june. They first verify details and then make a state merit list on the basis of applications. Then counselling is done where one has to fill preferred colleges and on basis of rankings and reservations colleges are alloted.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college are really senior people. They come from good backgrounds. They all have PHDs and are given positions after thorough competition. They are well educated and some from IIMs. Most have done FDP from IIMs. They are well paid and live nearby the college. They are really friendly and cooperative.
