Likes

Infrastructure - as a new University, there has been a tremendous infrastructure development
Events- as new college there are many colleges events
Facilities - all facilities like lab equipment is pretty good.

Dislikes

Faculty - faculty is not at all good in college.
Placements - As there has been partiality, I dislike this aspect
Management - not good management in aspects of college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is good. As I opted for CSE with spec in A.I, I should mandatorly do courses of all basic CS course and A.I courses as well. VIT follows FFCS(fully flexible credit system) which basically means every student has libertiy to chose their time slot , faculty for each course through their course duration.

Internships Opportunities

There has been not many intership oportunities or placements opportunities this year due to bad market and recession. Mostly students with high cgpa got some opportunities, rest of the students are still trying.

Placement Experience

Usually VIT is known for it's good placement records( which is one of the reasons why I cam to VIT) but for our batch as market is not good not many people got placed. Usually,Vellore students are given preference over us and now days females are given more preference as well

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is little bit expensive, although if you get good rank inVITEEE you can get admission in category 1. Financial assistance is provided but it is minimal. Hostel fee used to be reasonable but that is also made expensive now a days.

Campus Life

Life at VIT-AP is good now a days, although we spent almost half of our b.tech at our homes due to COVID, but I came to college, I tried to get as social as possible. We had one tech feast, one cultural fest and usually there would be events twice a month.

Hostel rooms are good There are 4 types of accomodation available Four bed room, foru bed apartment ,2 bed room, 2 bed apartment, Only difference between room and apartment is batrooms are common for room type. Mess consists of three options, Veg,non veg, special

Admission

I applied for VITEEE exam and based on my rank here were multiple rounds of counselling for various course at 4 campuses of VIT. I got my admission in VIT - AP campus at 3,00,000 fee(category two) in CSE with spec in A.I.

Placement Experience:

From 7 th semester students are eligible for placement drives in campus. There are many companies that visit our college some of them are wipro,Accenture,Tcs, etc they made many offers in packages and still our college is developing. Highest package is around 13 lpa and average package is 6 lpa as per companies offered. Many students get the campus placement some of them are with high package. My plan is also to get a better job opportunity in our college placements.

I have applied for two more colleges such as Andhra University and SRM AP beside VIT AP. But I gave the first preference to this college based on the reference of my seniors. I did not get rejected from any other colleges. The admission process of my university is of two different ways; based on the entrance exam VITEEE and through EAPCET exam.
