Kpg - A very good college

This course is the pathway to BTech in Civil Engineering. So I choose in order to get knowledge about my field. Faculty is well qualified and experienced. Every subject has almost 2 teachers that can take over it. Qualified staff is hired and teaching methods are very good Term exams take quite some time... Most of the times they are taken late. Exam is not that much difficult but it is of medium difficulty

Intership opportunities are not available within the college but college helps to intern with other organisations. These organisations include the government departments that deal with our fields. Mostly the internships are not paid and focus is only on learning process. Projects help students to overcome fear of socialism. And it improves skills which are very important for our future. Communication skills, leadership skills and team work skills are enhanced apart from curriculum skills.

From 5th semester students are eligible for placements. Annual placements are held and occasionally also. Khyber cement and many of the IT companies also visit. Highest package 3lakh per annum. 60% of students are placed. Applying for various job or study further.

Fee structure is very affordable and scholarships are also provided. Job drives are also conducted. Fee is hiked once a 3 years.. and that too small. I didn't get any scholarship as I didn't applied. But National scholarship programme was one of them.

Life at campus is fun. We study, play and maintain social life as well. Clubs are also formed. Events are organised occasionally. Placement drives are held annually. Annual fests are included. Library is vintage and antique with world class books of literature and engineering and technology. Classrooms are spacious and we'll equipped. Extra curricular activities are performed by students like cricket, football, volleyball. Kgpofficial is one of the pages on Instagram.

Admission process was very smooth. College staff was very helpful with the process. An entrance test namely Polytechnic Entrance Test (PET) was conducted by BOPEE. The cut off at my time was 75 When result was out , I was selected in Kashmir Government Polytechnic and went for my admission. Got a admission form and filled it up with details along with an affidavit. And that's it. Eligibility is minimum 10th class passed out. Application form is available at college and fees is only 3500. Reservation benefits are included. Admission process is already very smooth .
