RMK COLLEGE - A best college for average student

I joined CSE [Computer Science and Engineering] course at RMK. I am interested in new technology and software, building apps and websites and I prefer going into tech world, so I prefer this course. At our college we have many experienced faculty who done their phd's and they lead us until our final year and their contribution in teaching is wonderful they tell us many things about course and subject and encourge us to become the best in our segment. We have Internal assesment-1 and Internal assesment-2 and a model examination in a single semester. In Each Subject we get taught 5 units. Examinations conducted by managment are above average level and can secure good grade if planned well and study well.

Placements are well and in a batch most of them get placed and some students get prefer to high education .One can also search for jobs outside the college by linkdin or by reference etc., students are trained from 3rd semester for placements and placements are held from 6h semester ending. There are many companies recruting students, some of them are Amamzon, zoho, TCS, Cognizant etc., the highest salary offered till now was 24lpa by Amazon company. In a batch 90% to 95% students get placed every year.

Talking about fees, course fee does not vary that much every year but, donation may vary every year depending upon student academic performance. Donation is only paid once at starting of course. Course fee is paid for every year until course completion. The fee structure for local students who joined by TANCET counselling is different and is low when compared to non local students who joined by paying donation. There is no financial assistance provided by college management and neither any scholarship. But students who join by TANCET counselling and who are economically poor they get some fee concession by Tamilnadu government.

We have many clubs and events get conducted in our college and by our college itself. But there will not be that exposure to other colleges which one have to think about before joining RMK. There will be hackathons and cultural events every year which are conducted by college management itself and also sports are conducted by college with competetion to other colleges. we have a library which have consistent amount of books and resources to get knowlegable. Classrooms are digital along with a projector and a black board. We have many labs which are run by software companies and they give aid to purchase the lab equipment. Mainly in our college there will be no that much outer world exposure but there are some events,clubs and programs being conducted by college management itself " SMART PHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED INTO COLLEGE CAMPUS AND HOSTELS"

Coming to hostels, accommodation is good and the food that serve is the best when compared to other colleges of Tamilnadu. Our collge have veg and non veg options for students everyday to choose with. We get served non veg 5 times in a week those who go for non veg mess.The food that served here in our college is completely made in the college itself right from farming vegtables and paddy etc., We are provided with cricket ground, 2 volley ball court, badminton court. Hostels are allowed to have 24 hours high speed wifi facility with a hair saloon and reading room. a minimum of 4 to 5 members are encouraged in one room. Finding a PG near to college is bit difficult beacuse the college is located at outskirts of state.

My college is located in TamilNadu state near to Andhra pradesh border [Exact location: Kavaraipettai]. Here mostly we can see people from Tamilnadu and Andhra. "People from Tamilnadu" join RMK College by attempting TANCET [ Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test] and scoring a rank in TANCET after they attend for counselling process and opt for RMK college. Whereas the scenario is bit different for Non- locals [ people outside Tamilnadu]. People outside Tamilnadu join RMK by paying Donation which depends upon the course they prefer and along with this they are asked to pay course fee which is different from donation. For admission procedure one can come to college directly and complete the process. Local students from tamilnadu can apply for TANCET and directly opt for RMK in their counselling process. For non locals college management grants admission based on student previous academic record in 10th board and 12th board.
