Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course to develop a holistic learning of all the domains in my first year and then decide what to major and minor in, in the second year. It will also make it easy for me to switch across domains later on due to a general MBA degree. 1:4 approximately is the faculty: Student Ratio Most of the faculties have a Ph.D. from prominent institutes. Their teaching methodology is fairly decent to very good across all the subjects. Term exams happen almost every 2.5-3rd month. Some subjects are difficult to pass but so far the students have been doing well. Ultimately if the annual GPA has some discrepancy then a student might fail. We are yet to witness any such circumstance.
Internships Opportunities
All the placement and internship-related data is specified in detail on the college's website. That's the most authentic source. The college does present some really good opportunities but it is very limited considering the growing batch size.
Placement Experience
The Summer Internship process starts at the fag end of term 1. All the placement-related details are again mentioned on the website, including the number of companies visited and all other relevant information.
Fees and Financial Aid
the fees roughly 21 lakhs inclusive of hostel are almost the same across various b schools in the country. There are various scholarships available and it has been mentioned in detail on the college website.
Campus Life
There are 20 different clubs so a lot of events and fests keep happening. Annual fest- Sammriddhi. The library has a good collection of books for academics. I haven't ventured a lot when it comes to nonacademic books. The infrastructure in the classroom is phenomenal. Classes are very clean, AC eqipped, smart boards, projectors, and glassboards on which things are written using a marker. There is a club called Prayas, it conducts various sporting events throughout the year.
Hostel Facilities
1st year- twin sharing room and limited single room with AC and attached bathroom. Very limited single rooms(non-AC) can be available a little later, with some extra payment. 2nd year- single room and limited single room with AC and attached bathroom. Residential course, all the students are required to stay on campus. There are 2 canteens and there is a juice junction and a night canteen which is usually open until 3 a.m. The quality of the food is good enough.
Admission
minimum 87 percentile in CAT All the details are published on the college's website with regard to the application There's no caste-based reservation, but there is some benefit if you are a Goan Domicile The admission process is conducted in an organised manner
Interview Experience
We had a written ability test followed by a personal interview. Written ability test, we are given 2 topics and need to write on any one of them. PI questions were a good mix of personality, work ex, and previous academic questions. I had a mentor to guide me through the process of GDPI and I worked majorly on my lateron. Had signed up for MBA KARO's GDPI prep program. IT was resourceful.
