Remarks

A very enjoyable , memorable stint at college. Liking a girl but not proposing her make it memorable. love my college life.

Entrance Preview

+2 Commerce and attained percentage required for getting admission in Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course contains subjects : Accounts, Cost Accounting , Direct & Indirect taxes , Commercial Law, Theory & practice of management , Environment , English & Punjabi.

Internships Opportunities

Internships enable you to gain experience in careers that you may be considering for your post graduate plans. Your internship experience may present new career interests and pathways or may direct you in the completely opposite direction from which you originally planned. My experience was good but no stipend was offered & given for same.

Placement Experience

2

A work placement gives you the chance to gain hands-on experience of the working world and can be invaluable to entering into your chosen career On some courses, work placements are compulsory in order to get your degree, while on others you can opt to do a placement as one of your modules. If this isn't the case on your course then you should still think about arranging a placement. Your careers service should be able to help you with this.Placement was weak & job oppurtunities were limited.

College Events

3.5

We always have major events with a well-known person as the main speaker (or sometimes a panel of speakers), smaller speaking events, symposia, film series, art exhibitions, poetry readings, musical performances, class activities, the reading and discussion of a book, workshops, formal and informal discussions, festivals and celebrations, the performance of plays, open mike events

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very feasible fee structure being a government college. Every one can afford to pay fees but it was difficult to get admission. I was lucky to get admission .

Fees and Financial Aid

No loan facility was provided , nor was taken by me. however scholarship were given to needy students.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio was good. Parties were less. Culture was good. Study was hard. There were internal competitions. I liked that spirit, no discrimination on basis of gender, race , others.

Hostel Facilities

2

Not good. I did not like that food, try to eat outside. But tea was very good. I liked tea & coffee..

Alumni/Alumna

Very good network is being maintained by college teachers. Every year a function is orgnaised & all are invited. No. of students came & share their current job & meet old friends.

Exam Structure

100 multiple-choice questions a scoring of 1 point for each correct answer pass mark of 65% (26 or more points)a duration of 60 minutes (or 75 minutes for candidates taking exams that are not in their native or local language).

Faculty

4.5

In my collge there were many teachers. Each one teaches us different subjects. Although all of them are fairly good, there were few teacher whom admire the most. They all were most pleasing personality that I have ever come across. An ideal teacher. And h

Being a new here i dont kow much about the placements here. But i saw a chart of the placement being offered to previous batch studens higest placement was 11 lakh per annum, and lowest was 4 lak per annum For ore placements u have to work hard and score a good CGPA to be eligible for placements. Students get less placements here After completing my degree i plan to learn some soft or tchnical skills that will be helpful for me in future

Course Curriculum Overview:

Firstly every course have different fee structure. As my course is BCOM so i think if you need to make some higher knowledge of commerce you should go for it because it can help you to make your overall basic knowledge good even if you don't related to commerce stream in 11th or 12th. the way of teaching in the collage is good but still some of the teachers don't have interest to teach their student in the better way. exam system in the collage is good and its difficuly level is moderate also its depend on the subject and point of view of the students

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for enrollment into campus placements in the 2nd semester . We have been enrolled into placement classess and we will be graduating in 2023. According to the stats we have around 800+companies for placements and avg pacakge offered is 5LPA. Currently, I am not into placement so talking about the top placements and the ratio of placements will be biased. But we have been provided with top notch facilities to help develop skills and crack interview. Top recruiters - delloit, kpmg, JpMorgan etc. short internships were provided to students in their first year and with ending of 2nd year we will be doing a full force internship.
