Course Curriculum Overview

Now a days the it sector is getting low as AI has taken the place. Hence the core field is on boom. In this college core branch has max placement as compared to it branches, especially in electrical engineering. There is a faculty student ratio of 4:9. As this is govt college, all the faculty members has a base degree of phd. They use practical and smart method to teach. In one year we have 2 semesters in the interval of 6 montgs

Placement Experience

Approximately 60-70% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, the average salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Internships are also good in this college.

As this is govt college, it has a bit low fees as compared to the other private colleges. Although it has various scholarships such as kalia yojna scholarship, state portal scholarship, labour scholarship etc

Campus Life

Campus life was very good. A well-maintained environment was there in the month of June, and the college held a college fest. The hostel is very good and hygienic. There are three boys hostels and two girls hostels in our college. It has a ragging free campus.

Hostel Facilities

There are total 6 hostels for students 3 for boys and 3 for girls. The first year hostel for boys and girls is separate. A single room has 3 bed 3tables 3cupboard ans 3chairs. As per the jee Or ojee rank we got the rooms.

Hostel Fee: INR 45000 per year

Admission

You have passed ur 10th and 12th with minimum 50% with maths and phys as compulsory subject. You may enter this college by giving JEE Or OJEE entrance exam after 12th. It has reservation benefits for sc, st and girls. This is a state government college which comes under bput rourkela. It is situated in berhampur sitlapalli. It has a ragging free campus.

Placement Experience:

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.
