Course Curriculum Overview

I chose B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering in IIT Kanpur because i am interested in Computer science. The faculty student ratio is 1:20. We have courses like Data Structures and Algorithms, Discrete Mathematics. The exams are moderate to difficult.

Class Size: 129Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities here at IIT Kanpur are endless. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple come to IIT Kanpur to recruits interns. The average package ranges from 20 thousand to 1.5 lakhs per month.

Placement Experience

IIT Kanpur is renowned for its placements. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook come to IIT Kanpur to recruit the top minds of this country. You are able to take part in campus placements from the 7th semester onwards.

Fees and Financial Aid

They charge one lakh rupees per semester as tuition fees. I did not avail any scholarship or financial assistance. They also charge fifteen thousand rupees per semester as hostel charges. There has not been any fees hike as of recently.

Campus Life

The annual cultural fest of IIT Kanpur is Antaragni. The annual tech fest of IIT Kanpur is Techkriti. The annual sports fest of IIT Kanpur is Udghosh. We have clubs like Programming Club, Music Club, Dance Club, Debating Club, etc here. Life in campus is pretty good.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel has a lot of sports facilities like table tennis, badminton, basketball, etc. I share a triple sharing room. The mess food is quite lovely. They serve paneer twice a week and non veg twice a week.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

I took JEE Advanced 2023 Exam. It had questions from Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I achieved an All India Rank of 156. The admission process was through JoSAA counselling. JoSAA counselling took 4-5 weeks to complete.

College life and it's reality

Placement Experience:

Highest package in our college is 50-60 lpa meanwhile average package is 7-8 lpa and many people don't even sit for placements as they have another plans like higher education or buisness but placement percentage is around 70 -80 percent

The course curriculum is well designed and proper lile any course should be, the academic experience it provides is enough to be for the real world. They do 3 exams before the semester AKTU exams which are perfect for the preparation for it.

Placement ls are pretty decent as per the recession but still not that impressive i will say 50% students are getting placed till now but i can say the placement are still not normal so at this time we can hope for the best

Placement Experience:

There are many placements opportunities provided by the campus. Many companies like samsung, google visit the campus but only take the top candidates. Highest package offered last year was around 33 LPA and average package is around 7-8 LPA. Almost everyone gets placement after the course so thats a good thing.

Campus placement is offered in college but not all students get on campus placement only some students get and others have to search for off campus placement you have to be in top 10 in your branch to get a on campus placement as the competition is very high

Placement Experience:

From 7th Semster Students are eligible to sit in the Campus placements. Students are eligible only if they have 8CGPA in every year. In past there were many companies like Amazon , adobe , Mahindra and many more , Highest on campus placement was of 56Lac/year , Average placement : around 5lac/year. Around 20% students are really placed in this college. My personal opinion is to get a job from either outside or oncampus placement and save for my Masters to do it from abroad.

Highest Package of Our College is 8 lpa and it is depend of Students Capibility and Average Package is 3 lpa. 50-60% students got placement and lastly I wanna say is that It's not depend on College it's depend on Students. Sweet and Salty Journey of GCET.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Preferred this course because I saw a great scope in this. Artificial Intelligence is our future so it is having great scope for the future. Faculty: Student Ratio is Good means the no. of Teachers is enough for every course. They all are having good qualifications and are very helpful. The term exams were quite easy and you will not find any difficulty in passing.

In IIT Kanpur, You have to clear Jee mains first then sit for Jee Advanced, and on the basis of advanced rank, you are allotted IITs, around 14 lakh students give mains out of which around 1.5L seats for advanced, and from that around 20k students get its, everything about the application form, dates, fees can be availed on www.nta.ac.in. All about Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur

To take admission in IITK, one must clear JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced with a decent rank. The candidate must also have 75% (65% for SC/ST) in 12th boards examination or be in the top 20 percentile of the board .
