Course Curriculum Overview

I chose B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering in IIT Kanpur because i am interested in Computer science. The faculty student ratio is 1:20. We have courses like Data Structures and Algorithms, Discrete Mathematics. The exams are moderate to difficult.

Class Size: 129Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities here at IIT Kanpur are endless. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple come to IIT Kanpur to recruits interns. The average package ranges from 20 thousand to 1.5 lakhs per month.

Placement Experience

IIT Kanpur is renowned for its placements. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook come to IIT Kanpur to recruit the top minds of this country. You are able to take part in campus placements from the 7th semester onwards.

Fees and Financial Aid

They charge one lakh rupees per semester as tuition fees. I did not avail any scholarship or financial assistance. They also charge fifteen thousand rupees per semester as hostel charges. There has not been any fees hike as of recently.

Campus Life

The annual cultural fest of IIT Kanpur is Antaragni. The annual tech fest of IIT Kanpur is Techkriti. The annual sports fest of IIT Kanpur is Udghosh. We have clubs like Programming Club, Music Club, Dance Club, Debating Club, etc here. Life in campus is pretty good.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel has a lot of sports facilities like table tennis, badminton, basketball, etc. I share a triple sharing room. The mess food is quite lovely. They serve paneer twice a week and non veg twice a week.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

I took JEE Advanced 2023 Exam. It had questions from Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I achieved an All India Rank of 156. The admission process was through JoSAA counselling. JoSAA counselling took 4-5 weeks to complete.

Average college not bad and not good

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to become software engineer so that is why i choose B.Tech cse course. And the curriculum is good fit for real world application or further academic pursuits. They majorly focus on practical either than theory knowledge nearly exam occur in every 1 to 2 months and paper difficulty level is average not as much hard and not easy

A good choice for quality education and career growth

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement from the 6th and 7th semsester the college has a dedicated placement cell that organise training sessions resume building workshops mock interviews and aptitude class to prepare students for placement Many companies visit the campus every year , including IT and sevice based comapnies . The most common roles offered are software developer technical support, data analytical and trainee enginer. The avaerage package can go upto 7 lakh while the highest package can go upto 52 lakhs . Around 70-80% of students get placed through campus drives while other opt for higher studies , internships or off campus job . The placement process is smooth and well organised bh the college. After completing my degree , i plan to either secure a good job through campus placement or improve my skills for better off campus placement.

KMCLU Lucknow : Experience of Campus and Academics

Placement Experience:

My college has an average placement of 6LPA. Placement eligibility starts from the end of 5th semester, but when I got promoted to 5th semester, placements declined due the the restructuring in placement cell. So our batch missed the opportunity to attend any placements. In year 2022, the highest placement was around 22LPA and in year 2023, it declined to 9 LPA as there was restructuring in team. After getting my degree I will look for carrier opprotunities on my own, as I have not experienced any placement in my college years.

The real life experience of NIET

Placement Experience:

The placement rate is good. From 6 or 7 semester the students elegible for placement The TCS, wipro and many more come and offer good package. The highest package is 51 lakh The percentage is almost about 80% get placed. After degree I got a good job .

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for placements some of the companies which visit are amazon, atlassian, google,etc. According to me the highest package is 53 lpa and the average package is 5 lpa. If you had a great skilled then you can get the placement. I don't know the percentage of student getting placements.

IITK From Sparsh's Perspective

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. Life @ IITK

I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
