Remarks

The most good remark of our college is that their is no Ragging in the College.

Entrance Preview

I did GATE in 2015 & My score is 25. This was the taught test of my life. This was my 1st attempt. I learnt much more from this Examination.

Internships Opportunities

Our College was introduced in 2001. It has great spot in the Area as well as in Asia. Many big companies like Google, Wipro, Igate etc came in our college.

Placement Experience

In 2015 there are around 150 students which was placed in Companies. Companies are Wipro, IGate, Collabera. & their Packages are 4 lac, 3.70lac & 3.20 lac respectively.

Our College always organised Techanical, Cultural festivals. The big event of our College is Minerva. It is the Most Popular & best Minerva of Punjab. In Minerva all Colleges of Punjab participated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is average. Fee of every semester is around 48000Rs. Some times it decrease or increase accounting with the semester & examination. The examination fee is separated.

Fees and Financial Aid

Their is a One girl scholarship for students. They offered 50% tuition fee free which are under this Scheme.

Campus Life

There are around 1700 students in our college. In which there are around 1000 are boys & 700 are girls. College organised Annual Athletics meet in every year.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are great. All the modern facilities are available in the Hostel. Mess food facility is also good. They always provide foods on the time.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are good in our college. There is no ragging in the college. Sensors are always helped the junior students. They are sweet hearted. They attempt the classes regularly.

Exam Structure

Regular exam of the the semester done after every 6 months. Their are our three sessionals. On the basis of Sessionals performance the Internal numbers of students are calculated.

All the faculty is well qualified. They have experienced teachers. They teach us by very good way. They gives us theoretical as well as practical knowledge.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
