An Overall Review of Goa of Institute of Management

The course is one of the industry demanding with a combination of Data science and Management. The blend of both helps me use my Computer Science background and getting required Management skill. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:13. The faculties are well qualified and welcoming new methods to take up in their teaching style. The institute also makes it mandatory for faculty to include a Guest Faculty from the industry to bridge the gap between academics and industry. The schedule for the year will be prepared at the start of academic year and all the exams strictly adhere to it.

Many companies visits the campus for internship recruitment. Roles offered are management traine in various departments like marketing, operations, finance. Apart from these data science related internships roles comes for BDA students

The placement for summer internship starts from first semester itself along with final year placements. Many companies including major industry leaders visit the campus for placements. The previous highest package being 27 lacks and average being 15 lakhs. The placements has been 100%.

The fees has been mentioned at the time of admission with 3 installments. The division of fees on various front are also mentioned along with month of payment in the call letter from the college. There are few scholarships available for students from lower income group and apart from that the students who got admission via achievers round has special scholarship for them.

The institute has various clubs and the events of the club spans over whole year. Each clubs has their flagship events which are distributed along different months. The library is rich books and journals, and your are also provided with access to various softwares. The classroom is equipped with latest techs and proper amenities is provided for the classes to be conducted smoothly. The institute has a football ground, 2 tennis courts, volleyball court, 2 badminton courts and a basketball court.

The room in first year is provided on a double sharing basis with people from diverse background. For second year individual rooms are allocated. The mess meals are better compared to rest, you are availed with option and variety in food. It's a fully residential campus.

The eligibility for me was based on CAT score. Apart from CAT score scores of CMAT, XAT are also taken into consideration for admission in Goa Institute of Management. I came to know about the institute while browsing through internet for various options available with the CAT score that I got. The admission process consisted of exam which is only required for applying for big data analytics and followed by personal interview.

The PI was a general interview checks on your communication skill and other basic skills. The process had me talk about myself and followed by talk about some topic. This was followed by some technical questions. Just be fluent in what ever you are telling and you are good to go.
