Likes

I likes the fest and events that take place here regulary and the comitee is so much supporting and encouraging.
Class Time Table is designed is such a way that students don't feel too much pressure and get quality education.
Seperate extra classes for hindi medium students so that they don't feel that they are behind the other students

Dislikes

College student Email Id is not being provided by the college which can be used for many websites.
There is wifi in the campus but only limited connection 34mb JIONET

Course Curriculum Overview

I took this course because I am interested in computers and related things. Faculty:student ratio is fine and mentor-mentee meetings are also taken Teachers are very well qualified around every four months there are term exams and they are not that difficult to pass.

Placements are great in this college few students get placed at the end of the sixth sem but most students get placed in the seventh and eighth sem and most companies come in the fourth year. LEADING COMPANIES ARE: 1.Goldman Sacs 2.Amazon 3.Adobe 4.Google 5.Grow etc... Highest package is around 35 lpa and average package is around 8 lpa more than 80% of students get placed My plans after getting the degree is to work in a multinational company

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for Information Technology and Bio-Medical are quite high but education is worth here. Fees if possible should be made low so it will benefit all the students. Scholarship provided by the MP govt is provided and pre-notice is also provided. Right now I am still in course so I am not placed yet

Campus Life

SGSITS DAY is celebrated every here and the alumni association conducts the fest. Navrang Fest is being celebrated in NAVARATRI. Many events occasionally take place here. Classrooms are clean and proper utilities LT classes are top most and ATC IT classes have all the necessary labs. All the sports facilities are provided here indoor badminton court, cricket ground, tennis court etc... SOCIAL GROUPS - CLUB KSHITIJ, OJASWA, E-CELL SGSITS, CLUB PRATIMBH, GS PRODUCTION HOUSE, TRIVIM ETC...

Application is taken through JEE MAINS and counselling through MP DTE Reservation is applicable Application form can be found on the official website of JEE MAINS and for counselling Go to the website of MP DTE Counselling time should be reduced

SGSITS: JUST A BIG BRAND

Placement Experience:

At the end of 2nd year, companies like goldman sachs comes to take interns. For placements students become eligible from 6th or 7th semester. In recent years goldman sachs is the biggest recruiter, oracle and Deloitte have also recruited, other firms like tcs and infosys also come. Giants like Amazon and google have stopped visiting since few years. Last year highest package was 72 lpa to an ece student. Average lies around 8 lpa. In tech branch 70-80% students are placed. In lower branches 50-60% students are placed. My plan is also to get placed at a decent package after completion of course.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to get placed and many companies visits every year for placement and approx 60-70% students gets placement every year.As per my knowledge there is no company which has made no offer.Average package is about 6-7 lakhs per annum.My plan is to take good package from on campus placement drive.If I am unable to get this then I will try for off campus placement and I also want to do MTECH after graduating.

I applied for IET davv but I kept it as second preference in MP dte counselling. Other options available for me were some IIITs and lower branches in NITs but I wanted to go for IT sector. Now reason for me for choosing this college was it was slight better than iet and slight lower than IIITs but fees of IIITs was very high, So I didn't applied for them. When I applied for sgsits suddenly they increased their fees. I had no option left other than iet or taking sgsits, but in between confusions and dilemma I choosen sgsits by suggestions of relatives and other elders. Admission process is done through MP dte counselling, based on jee mains rank. Cutoff of general category for IT branch is about AIR 45,000. The college is good in terms of placement and development of students

I have applied to many nits and I got seat in NIT bhopal in electronics and communication branch. But I chose Sgsits cse over nit bhopal ece because I wanted to pursue my career in cse and I have no interest in ece. The admission process of the college is easy . First filling of application through date and then if we get seat we have to report college for the final admission process which is just of 1-2 hours and after fee submission your admission is confirmed.
