Course Curriculum Overview
Our college boasts a high academic reputation and holds autonomous status with a large student body of 560 students. The faculty comprises highly qualified individuals, most of whom hold Master's degrees. They are not only friendly but also extremely talented. Examinations are managed by the Controller of Examination Office at the Government College of Engineering Salem. However, due to the stringent academic standards, passing exams might be challenging.
Placement Experience
Final year students are eligible for placements, with an average package of 3.5 lakhs for each student. Our college attracts a plethora of IT companies, and the placement cell manages these opportunities separately. Renowned companies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, Zoho, among others, regularly visit our campus for recruitment.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fees amount to 6300. First-generation students receive a reduction of 2000 in fees, as do SC/ST students. Numerous scholarships are available, including private scholarships, which the college readily accepts. Additionally, there's the Pragati scholarship specifically for girls, while government scholarships for boys amount to 8500 per year.
Campus Life
Every year, each department organizes two separate functions at our college, utilizing the large auditorium available. For instance, the Electrical and Electronics Engineering department hosts Synergy and Electro Fest, while the Mechanical department conducts the Chakra function. In total, all six departments individually organize their unique events annually.
Hostel Facilities
There are a total of 7 hostel blocks, each designated for a specific year group. First-year rooms accommodate 5 students, while second-year rooms are for 4 students in a single room. Third-year students have individual rooms furnished with a fan, table, and chair. The mess bill is reasonably priced, at 1700 or below, offering exclusively vegetarian food options within the college premises.

Our college admission process is conducted offline and involves filling out several forms. The staff manages the process efficiently, and there are no additional charges apart from the standard fees. Overall, the staff is competent and helpful throughout the admission procedure.
