Jecrc is a good college in its league

There are some issues regarding the less time provided between consecutive exams and labs. Other than this the college is good in terms of academics. Also it provides great extracurricular opportunities.

I landed up here through REAP on the basis of JEE mains score and 12th marks. Chose b tech since it is a professional course and I want to be a mechanical engineer. Plus mechanical engineering is a core branch and suits my job preferences.

The course is vast, tough and challenging. But it provides a great deal of learning experience. Average focus on practical learning through labs and workshops. No research initiatives but some industrial visits. I had the choice between bsc mathematics, b tech mechanical or b tech dairy science from different colleges and universities.

The college does provide internship at the end of 6th semester in 3rd year. You can get an internship by paying the required fees and timely registration. But I haven't reached the 6th seminars yet so can't tell anything about the experience.

The placements are more than average but less than good. Last year 574 students got job offers. Major companies were TCS, TATA Technologies Ltd., JK Cement, oppo mobiles, jellyfish technologies and many others. Average package was between 3-4lacs per annum.

The cultural fest of JECRC 'RENAISSANCE' is the second largest cultural fest in North Bharat. It is organised awesomely and with the contribution of authority.

The college and course is affordable. The total fee is about 2.8lacs payable as approx 35k per semester. There are semesters in all. Each semester is of 6 months. If you are not local then the accommodation and food cost for 4 years is min 3 lacs depending on your comfort requirements.

My college is good in terms of extracurricular. I myself am a member of the drama club faces and footlights. There are so many different clubs which you can join to develop your internal talents.

I am not residing in college hostel. But I do know a little about them. The rooms are sharing. They have beds, table and chair and almirah. They are medium small sized. The reports on food is good except for some dishes.

The alumni network of my college is very strong. They are placed in many countries. The college provides a great platform for interaction with alumni.

The exams and labs are really frequent and you can't really do much of other stuff due to the haste, pressure and fatigue caused by them. Also you have to carry the burden of mandatory attendance.

The faculty are good and some average. But they all try there best to give all the knowledge they can. Some of the teachers are highly experienced. They interact quite good. Even after lectures you can talk to them as friend for guidance. So the sum total standard of teaching is good and average.
