Remarks

It was a very good experience studying in this college, I got to know a lot much about the politics which used to happen in the government since I was the president of the college when I was studying, canteen was ok type stuff, the food provided was also not that good.

Entrance Preview

I didn’t write any entrance exam, Yes there was a small interview process carried out they asked the question about why exactly are you applying for this college?, and various basic questions, , after my 12th I wanted to know more about our Indian history so I took sociology in Bachelor of arts.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course was pretty good with enormous amount of information regarding the past history of our college, There was no much focus given on the practical learning since there was no practical subjects as such it was fully theoretical for all the time, no there was no research initiatives as such taken by the institute, We had the elective options such as Constitution in the first year, indian history, Karnataka history etc;

Internships Opportunities

No there was no internship for us as such since I was doing my bachelor in arts.

Placement Experience

1

No there was no placements in our college since it was a government college, Students had to go around the city where the job fair was there and give the resume for their interested companies, The average package which we used to get in the job fair was around 3 lakhs.

College Events

2.5

Yes there were events but not in a grand way but in a simple manner, there were lots of sports conducted in the university level and it was a good experience to take part in all the events. The organization did not provide any of the contribution to all such things, since it was a government college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I was very much affordable , we paid the fees of 7500INR per year it was very much affordable during that time these fees included the development changes, library fee, and various other things.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there were lots of scholarships which was provided to the students, college did not provide the scholarships but the college acted as a medium between the private scholarship organisations and the students it helped the students get the required scholarship from these organisations. All the SC, ST students got the schoarlships.

Campus Life

4

There were lots of inter college activities happening in the college like dance competition, singing, some tricky games, and many more for the students to show their talents.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

No I wasn’t residing in the hostel, since I was from puttur, but the college hostel was not good, there was a hostel nearby named BCM hostel where the facilities provided were pretty much good, the food in college hostel was not that good.

Alumni/Alumna

No there was no alumni network In our college , but there was a college day which took place yearly once that’s it nothing much was there.

Exam Structure

There were three internals and the best of two internals was taken, but the only thing was per day we had almost 5 subjects which was hectic for the students, exams were conducted In an systematic and a strict manner.

Faculty

3.5

There were 13 guest lecturers during that time and 6 faculties were permanent and almost two people had pursued their P.hD degree, most of the faculties had completed their MA degree. They were good in teaching, the standard of teaching was also good, lecturers were not much interactive with the students.

The specific aspects of this curriculum which influenced my decision to choose this course is my passion for Economics and its easiness. The curriculum really prepares me for the real world application or further pursuits. The teaching methods can be improved using Smart boarsds and presentation.
