Remarks

The campus of university is good but M.hrd is pretty much boring campared to b.hrd, In m.hrd it was all about studying all the times with a less extracurricular activities, no much enjoyment was encouraged. The canteen was very good, the food provided was superb.

Entrance Preview

Yes i wrote an entrance exam to get into mangalore university which was conducted by the university itself. It was near to my home, and the certificate from the university is considered much more valuable. My subject was provided in this university i.e the M.Hrd, Yes there was an interview process which was done to me, during the interview they asked me some of the general questions regarding my past studies, I wanted to be an human resource manager so i took up this course.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The M.hrd subjects were pretty good, some of them are law, ethics, personality development etc; were some of the subjects which I learnt. There was no practical learning since we had only the theory subjects. Yes there are lots of research going on but not from our department.

Internships Opportunities

Yes college used to support the students to take internships in various other places around mangalore, we had done an internship in Janatha bazaar on the topic employee absentism for 6 months.

Placement Experience

3.5

There was no placement for our department neither any of the companies came to hire the students, but we usually visited some of the job fair conducted in alvas, sahyadri. But other departments had some sort of placements according to my knowledge.

College Events

4.5

There were lots of events conducted , some of them are fresher’s day, ”MAGNUM” inter college event conducted by the institute, SAMBHRAM a cultural event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I paid a fees of 40000INR for one year of my course, this fees did not include my exam fees , the exam fees had to be paid later when the exams were near i.e around 2000INR, My fees was quite affordable for me.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes students had an opportunity to exhibit their talents in the various fests/competition happening in our college.

Campus Life

3.5

Yes college used to provide scholarship but i didn’t apply for the same due to various reasons. For the deserving students college was supportive in terms of both scholarship and loan.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No, i was not residing in hostel, but as of my knowledge there was lots of freedom given to the students staying in hostel, There 2,3,4 sharing rooms. The food provided was ok not so good.

Alumni/Alumna

There was no alumni cell in our college neither any of our seniors visited our college.

Exam Structure

There was one internal conducted in 1st year for 20 marks then 5 marks viva/presentation, 5 marks assignment, and marks was awarded for the involvement of the students in various activities (management games)

Faculty

3.5

We had faculties who had an degree of M.com, M.hrd and a few with the double degrees, and some people had undertaken research initiatives. Few were freshers and few had a experience of 5-6 years, They were good in terms of interactiveness with the students, The standard of teaching was ok ok not up to the mark.
