Remarks

The management of the college is very poor. Campus experience is good when you have your friends around you.

Entrance Preview

I took admission in this college after clearing the CMAT and NMAT exam. Yes, college is following interview process for final admission in this college. They took personal interview and group discussion for the admission. I chose this college because this college is near from my home and also this college is providing good placement to the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose PGDM it is a better version of MBA which complies to industry requirements. Focus on practical learning is huge most of the focus is on practical learning which is derived from theories of management gurus. Many research initiatives are taken by college on current happenings and scenarios like GST and demonetization. The elective options are marketing, finance, operations, human resource, digital marketing& international business.

Placement Experience

Yes, college provides good placement to the students and hr average placement scenerio is 4-6 lac per annum and major companies are Airtel, ITC, HCl etc for campus placement in this college. And highest placement of the last year is 9 lac per annum. My college placement ratio is 80%.

College Events

There are various workshops that are held in college time to time.. main events are teacher’s day and Archiventure.. college authorities did contribute.. management is done by student council in this college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yaa...college fee structure is little bit high. They charges 80000/- per annum for management course. For other courses fee structure, I don't have any idea about this. But ya.. college didn't charge any hidden expenses. According to college study this fee is not high.

Fees and Financial Aid

College does provide scholarship.. i did not avail any.. and no idea further. But ya..my one friend got scholarship in this college is 10000/- relaxation in her fee structure.

Campus Life

Yes, this is management college and this college is providing lots of platform to explore our inner skills in front of corporate culture. They organised management games through that we learnt marketing skills and increase our marketing skills.

Hostel Facilities

hostel rooms are well painted and full of facilities one can expect from it. one room is shared by 2 people. it is not a PG. hostel fee is rs. 75000 per year and food is included in it. food is not so good. it took some time to adjust to it.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes there is proper platform for interaction.. they contribute at different levels by workshops.. guest lectures etc..they came and help us to explore our skills and getting job in different different companies.

Exam Structure

the exams are really tedious one exam is held through out the day. ppt making case study essay writing and theoretical exams form part of one subject exam.

Faculty

faculty is well versed with their subjects and they have high corporate experience to share. they all have experience more than 10 years. they train students very effectively . they are highly interactive and clear our doubts effectively. the standard of teaching is really high as they all are highly educated and have great corporate experience

All the student are placed in a collage the placement percentage is 100% . more than 100+ companyes are come for placement soo that all the student are plced and get ther dream job for working proffesion . After summer internship program the company are start coming for a placement

bussiness driven acedemics they teach exel, ppt, managerial behavior
mentor session every week in this they focus on student's personal growth

Dislikes

area like this based in shale ahmedabad where little rain can stop or affect the transportation

im persuing the colledge not get placed yet our seniour placements started and 30% palcements are done in their 3rd samister and every after 2-3 days someone comes from seniour to give the sweet for their celebartion on placement

Likes

Strong emphasis on real-world, practical applications over just theory.
The daily class timetable is well structured and very student friendly.
Many Clubs for Sports, and Extra Curricular activities.

Dislikes

The on campus drainage system is poor, leading to waterlogging during rains.
The mess lacks experienced cooks to properly preaire non-Gujrati food for students from other staters.
Location is far from city, so significant travel just for basics.

Placement Experience:

Placements of SBS are Good In terms of Long Term Exposure in the Industry. Students become Eligible for Campuse Placements after 5 Semester in SBS. Since I have recently Joined the SBS List of Companies Visted and No of offers they have made are unknown to me.

A great start to my PGDM journey

Likes

I like the friendly and comfortable environment. Here you can interact with students and others
Faculty members are supportive They give us opportunities to interact and ask questions during sessions.
I like the campus and the activities conducted for students They give us opportunities to learn Outside regular classes

Dislikes

One thing that needs to be approved as waterlogging during rainy season because water gets collected around the campus and it gets difficult for the students to move around comfortably, specially for hostel students
Sometimes the schedule can get tiring back-to-back classes in sessions
I feel there should be more space for students in campus during breaks. They can go sit and learn their.

The curriculum is relevant to management and covers different areas that are useful for a PGDM student. It includes classroom learning along with practical activities. it is useful for understanding real world concepts. so far, I find the course structure Interesting and helpful

there is a faculty is very supportive and always ready to guide students academically
the curriculum is practical and includes case studies , presentations those help me developing real world business skill

college sports facilities are less also the monsoon season some we are face some of problems

The faculty members are helpful and explain the topics in a simple and practical way.
The campus environment is good, with useful facilities and a comfortable learning atmosphere.

The academic schedule is sometimes very busy, which gives students less free time.
There are many assignments and presentations, which can become difficult to manage sometimes.

The palcement oppotunities Many companies visit the campus and offer jobs area like marketing, finance, HR and sales. The college also provide palcements training, interview prepration and guideance to students. The salary package depends on the comapny, job role and student performance.

I gave CMAT exam, applied to the S. R. Luthra Institute of Management and the reason was I want to study in Surat and the city, SRLIM is one of the good institutes. The trusted name for the quality of education and also for placements. I am not falling under any category, so I am not eligible for a quota. Minimum criteria are the completion of graduation in any field, and CMAT or CAT is a must as such no such minimum marks are fixed in number it is marit base score which varies every year. The admission process was quite simple. After CMAT we need to follow the instruction on the ACPC website. It is managing the system centrally. We can select the college of our choice and as I get selection I went there and filled the application form with supporting documents and I got confirmation in 2 days and got an appointment for counselling....Read More

My learning journey

The admission process is quite easy. We need to complete the CMAT exam and then through threw portal if we score as per the requirement of that year we need to fill the form and through threw system we get college admission. We need to go there, fill-up the form of application. Then college asks to come on a day when we have a counseling session, they inform about how college is working, the system, values, placement, opportunities, and ask about our intrest in going to college. Will it is comfortable to sit for long 8 hours, we need to be ready to prepare hard for placement also. In which particular stream of management attracts us most(Hr, Finance, Marketing) and as we agree we are good to go with admissions.
