Likes

Faculties are good supportive and labs are upto Mark.
Along with core you get to learn about other branches, foreign languages and many more.
Opportunity to get admission across globe, in good colleges by using college international relation for masters very good.

Dislikes

Much focuses on attendance instead of quality of knowledge.
Must need improvement over placement for civil engineering students.
Must give ample of time student for self development.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is good according to my experience in 2015-2019 some of the courses was not included like irrigation engineering and hydrology which is necessary for civil engineering courses other things are good.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 85000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Amazon is offered intership to few students, Zoho also offers paid internship and most of the offering without stipend. Projects are helpful but please confirm and discuss with faculty before proceeding.

Placement Experience

From 6th semester onwards placement begins. Major firm are Wipro, TCS, musigma, capezemni, and few seats for Zoho, Amazon internship and other companies every season they hire approx 80% students who are eligible for placements. At my time no civil engineering firm visited campus so I opted for government exam preparation. Placements are very good in IT branches.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure at that time was 95000 tuition fee, 10000 exam fee and 95000 hostel fee. If you need financial assistance you visit college official definitely they will help. Many scholarship opportunities available over there. Job opportunities was not good at that time.

Campus Life

Annual fest in on the name of LAVAZA which is very good basically in December. Books and journals are available in library. Amenities like smart boards and all basics thing are provided. Sports and extra curricular activities are good.

Hostel Facilities

Basically 5 variety of rooms are provided 6 in 1, 4 in 1 , 3 in 1, 2 in 1, single room with/without A/C. Meals are good both veg and non veg meal provided. But you need to book hostel during admission because seats are less in compare with students.

Hostel Fee: INR 95000 per year

Admission

Eligibility is 12+. You can find application form online on college website, but you have to go through entrance exam conducted across country as well some neighbouring countries. If you score good in entrance exam definitely you get scholarship in tuition fee.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

Firstly I haven't got good marks in my APEAMCET exam and next thing is I came to know that my relatives sons have also graduated from the Vel tech University.
