Why to choose IIT-BHU

I chose this course because I had interest in mechanical engineering and iit bhu is a great place for pursuing mechanical engineering. Faculty student ratio is about 50:1. There is a different faculty for each chapter you are taught in the college and they keep changing. Almost all the faculties have done their PhD and some of them have even done courses in foreign countries and wrote many significant books. Their teaching method is quite very simple and easy to understand with focusing on each and every children that is present in the class. Exams occur every 3 months, and since all the students are studying hard, sometimes it becomes quite hard to score good marks but it all depends on your excellence.

The total fees excluding hostel is 105000 for general students whose income is more than 5 lakhs. But their is a fee remission policy which gives total tuition fee remission for sc/st and those general students whose parents income are less than 1 lakh per annum, and 2/3rd fee remission for those whose parents income is between 1 to 5 lakh per annum. Their are various scholarship benefits provided to students who didn't pursue any fee remission, its details are provided through email once you start studying in the college.

The annual fest is huge considering the number of students in the college, it is generally conducted in the month of october-november. The library of iit bhu is very large and all the course and non - course books are available in large amounts, you can borrow a book for 6 months straight after verification. The classroom are also very large and they have 6 fans/4Ac depending on the department. The sports opportunities are very promising, you are provided with inter iit competitions to participate and show your skills. Participating in sports is completely optional and free. Their are a lot of clubs like COPS, Buisness club, Dance and Music club, Architecture club and many more which brings out the extra skills of students.

To be eligible for this course, you must have cleared the Jee Advanced exam with required ranks for respective branches. Their is also reservation benefits available in the college which are as follows- 15% seats are reserved for sc, 7.5% reserved for st, 27% for obc non creamy layer and 10% for ews. The admission process is very simple and easy to understand. After online verifcation you have to go the college for physical registration too.
