Companies and their stipend at IIT Patna

The curriculum for 1st year is worst. In other years, it is pretty good ranging from core CS to Software development. The curriculum give a lot of projects to you. This is the best learning opportunity. Faculties are well qualified. Most faculties have done post doc in foreign universities. Some are passionate while some are not. It is not too difficult to pass, but getting good grade is difficult if your batchmates are studious. Faculty to student ratio is not good.(1:40)

Atlassian->1.3 lpm (3 studs) Directi -> 1 lpm (3 studs) Google-> 1.2 lpm (7 studs) Sprinklr -> 2 lpm (8 studs) Flipkart -> 1 lpm (1 stud) Discovery -> 80,000 pm (3 studs) They look for dsa and Web development projects.

Placements are good. Placements happen in 7th semester. Total 147 guys got placed in phase 1 Placement of 2024 batch. Companies - Google, Atlassian, Sprinklr, Directi, Flipkart, Triology, Discovery, Zomato,etc. Highest is 59 lpa for 2024 batch till now. Average is around 15 lpa. Around 90% CSE gets placed. Other branches don't have good Placements.

The fees for general category is 1,07,850 for one semester. This is academic fee. Mess fee or nearly 20k is extra to be paid. There are lots of schemes available for scholarships. It is also easy to get loan as there is an SBI branch inside campus.

Anwesha is the annual cultural fest. Celesta is the annual tech fest. They are pretty good. They happen in October-December. Lots of books are available in Library. There is online Library too. NJACK is a student programming club of IIT Patna. The most important club I would say. The club heads are highly qualified and expert i their fields. Classrooms are well air-conditioned.

Room has bed, chair, table, wardrobe. The rooms are small. 1st year -> 3 people/room 2nd year -> 2 people/room 3rd year -> 2 people/room 4th year -> 1 people/room But, this can vary for sure. Mess food is worst as per the price.

It is dependent on JEE Advanced. I got AIR 2540. There is reservation(for girls too). You can see JoSAA site. Seat allocation is done through JoSAA. The opening and closing rank is variable. One can see on JoSAA site. On an average, if your rank is <2800, you can get CSE at IIT Patna.
