What Students Say

Likes

Good facilities like library which have all the books.
Fests and programs that are done for all occasions, they are not that good but atleast we'll have those.

Dislikes

Management was very bad. They just make us to roam here and there when we have any problem
Force us to pay the fees by the given time

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is good but most of the faculty are not that good when it comes about the knowledge.. some of the faculty are good. Courses are good and faculties have phds and mtech degrees. Every 6months semester exams were conducted and they are moderate to difficult

Internships Opportunities

Internships with companies like cognizant, Amadeus, kaar technologies, Accenture, mu sigma with around stipend 10k to 25k. Projects are done by the students with help of very few faculties who have good idea. Project coordinator is not at all good and rude and arrogant

Placement Experience

From third year placements started, in 6th semester placement department mostly focuses on placements. Some of the companies take lot of students for their requirements. But most of the companies that comes are for 3 to 6lpa. Very few recruit for above 6lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

It was somewhat moderate when i had my admission but there are some extra fee was added after joining. Campus placements were good but placement training department take delays to inform about the placement drives. Fee was increased drastically for the new admissions

Campus Life

Annual fest was conducted it was good. Cultural activities and programs are conducted for all the occasions. Library facility is good. Amenities in classroom are not that good. Social groups clubs are there run by students

Hostel Facilities

There were Ac and non Ac rooms. Washroom are average. Meals are not that good in the hostels. For hostel facility the admission fee is a bit more. Overall the hostel facilities are good. Even have the ground to place sports.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

There was an entrance exam conducted and from the exam i got into my University. Based on the score, and score of my 12th fee concession was given. I got to know about the university via my 12th class sirs.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

Firstly I haven't got good marks in my APEAMCET exam and next thing is I came to know that my relatives sons have also graduated from the Vel tech University.
