A College that you can consider for building your career

I chose this course because I am interested to make career in banking field. I am studying b.com with banking specialisation. The faculty student ratio in my college is 1:20. All faculties are well qualified with masters degree in their respective area of teaching. HODs of different departments have doctorate degree which makes them more qualified. Every teacher has a unique style of teaching and this does not make the classes boring. The course curriculum is updated every year according to what industry demands. In our second year we had live projects and industrial visits. We can approach teachers to solve our any doubts. They are very helpful and friendly. Exams are conducted twice in each semester and the marks obtained in these exams are included in the each semester exam. 80% of the marks are external and 20% marks are obtained through internal exams conducted twice in each semester. It is easy to obtain good marks even if you start studying one month before the semester exams

Around 70% of students in our college are getting placed in different companies each year. Placements start at the beginning of final semester. Before appearing for placements college give training to clear aptitude tests and interview. Some of the companies that hire from the college are Tcs, Wipro, Federal bank, deloitte, KPMG, EY. EY made 35 offers last year. TCS made around 50 offers last year. Deloitte made 38 offers last year. The highest package offered is 4lpa and average package offered is 3lpa. Profiles offered are Analyst, Tax analyst, financial analyst, customer service associate, audit associate. Every company has 2 or 3 rounds and students have to clear these three rounds to get placed. Minimum eligibility to appear for placements is 60% in each semester. My plans after getting the degree is to find a job or go abroad to do my masters degree. Our college has also strong alumni which makes us easier to get placed in different companies. Placement cell is there in my college

The fees structure for my course is 50000 for each year. Total fees for my course is 1,50,000. Additional fees have to be paid for bus facility and hostel facility. Our college also provides add-on programs along with degree program. For studying such add on programs additional fees have to be paid. There is no fee hike policy in my college till now but fees for bus facility may increase considering the cost of petrol and other related costs. Since my college is self financing fees is higher when compared to govt and aided colleges. As a student we can apply to scholarships and there will be 100% support from college staff if we face any difficulty while applying to scholarships. Our college also have tie up with different banks for getting education loan. Some of the banks are SBI, South Indian bank and Bank of Baroda. I got a small internship from my college but it was online and only for two months. It was a content writing internship. The stipend was Rs 3000 per month.

In our college management fests, arts fest and annual fest are conducted every year. Management fest conducted two times every year in the month of February and August. Arts fest is conducted once every year in the month of November and we have annual fest conducted in the month of January. To enjoy these fests students from other colleges will also come. We have large library facility with modern facilities. Books available in the library can be seen from digital library site of college. International journals and newspapers are also available. All classrooms have smartboard which makes us easier to understand complex topics. All classrooms are neat and clean. We have sports period twice in every week. We can play any sport according to our interest. Teachers always promote to engage in volunteering activities as part of extra curricular activities. We have NSS and NCC club in our college. Other clubs Women's club, Nature club, IQAC, Entrepreneurship development club are always active

The admission to this college is through two ways. First through management quota and second is through merit quota. If you are getting admission through management quota then you will have to pay fees higher than a student who is getting admission through merit quota. For getting admission through merit quota you will have to get above 90% in your 12th standard. The eligibility for all the courses is minimum 55% in 12th standard in the respective streams. The application form is available in the college website or you can get it from the college office. The application fees is Rs.550. The application starts in the month of March every year, dates can vary each year. There are seat reservations for SC, ST, Pwd categories. I haven't availed any reservations, I am a student under general category. The admission process is lengthy after filling out application forms there will be long orientation sessions about the college and you will have to read so many documents about rules of college
