Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I want to be a software engineer and RIT is the best college for gaining knowledge. Every faculty members helps us learn programming and other topics. Term exams are neither so much difficult to pass nor so much easier as well.

Internships Opportunities

5

I joined Physics Wallah as a Java Developer but it's not on campus selection. In this role, I made various projects like banking applications and library management systems. I also did an internship with coding Raja Technologies.

Placement Experience

From 7-semester students become eligible for campus placements. Names of the Companies visited are Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and more. Percentage of students getting placements. Your plans after getting the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

We have to pay the half payment before one semester. There are two scholarships offered by the Odisha govt. One is post post-metric scholarship. Another is e-medhabruti. In the e-medhabruti scholarship students will get 40000rs for 4 years and I post metric scholarship sc/st candidates will get 60k per year and OBC and general candidates will get 20k per year.

Campus Life

4.5

In RIT there is nothing like a social group or club. College classrooms and libraries are average. In the library books are available but not so much. Every year one annual fest is conducted which is Bloom, also every year freshers' party is organized.

Admission

If you have scored more than 50% in 12th then you can join. You have to take the JEE Main or Ojee exam. Nowadays, the college fee is 55000 per year for the BTech CSE branch. You'll also get a scholarship from the Odisha govt. 60000 per year for SC/ST candidates.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Most of people go for PHDs and research after this course so the number of placements is a little less. Also, this unique Integrated Mtech course is new and the first batch of this 5 year course soon will be passed out. They are getting placement offers of 8-8.5 LPA per annum.

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
